I know what the thread is about. But my statements is in response to this comment which accused "Trump's devotees" as being "easily deceived

The hoax is perpetuating the myth that Russia didn't interfere with the election and that the Trump campaign didn't welcome the interference.

The investigation was founded upon legitimate concerns, and indictments and convictions came out of it.

Most people on the so-called left aren't devoted to their nominee to the point of outright idolatry and worship, so yet again, the "both sides" analogy fails. I have in fact been critical of Biden even here on CF (even to the point of receiving a warning for one of them) and I have no particular love of the DNC, but I still can't help but easily see how much worse the right under Trump has gotten, and they were already getting bad enough without him, so Trump just made more visible and vocal what was already going on beforehand. Only a blind person or one who is deceived (by Trump himself and decades of brainwashing by right-wing media and now social media, people who were filled with fear at the rapid change in our culture and looking for an authority figure to save them and guide them. That's how authoritarian regimes arise, and when it comes disguised with religion, it's even more deceptive.)

I'd be just as against the idea of implementing an actual communist regime as well, but the "communism" and "socialism" that the far right is so up in arms about is basically the same sort of things the Republican party included in their platform in the 1950's. Practically nobody believed labor unions and pensions and social services and the like were communism. I'm sure there were some fringe types afraid of everything, but our country is so ruled by the fringe, by such extreme fear and panic, that we've entirely gone off the edge in this era of Trump and his ilk.

It would be humorous if it weren't so destructive to so many people.

None of those "jailings" had anything at all to do with Russia collusion..

If we went like a fine tooth comb through every financial and every action ever committed of every democrat in Congress looking for anything at all to charge them with and threatened to jail them if they didn't testify against someone else regardless of what was found just how many democrats would be left in Congress, do you suppose?

I posit none. But of course, we can't know that for sure because nothing like that has ever been done in history, except to those close to Trump, because no one but modern democrats are that evil and tyrannical in the history of this nation.

George Papadopoulos: Jailed for lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts.
General Flynn: Jailed for lying to the FBI about meetings with the Russian ambassador.
Roger Stone: Jailed for lying to congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, over Wikileaks materials gained from Russian intelligence operatives.

Manafort and Gates were jailed over their Ukraine misdeeds rather than any Russian ones it is true.

Yet again... why not take it to court? No doubt we have forensics, biometric authentication, and autopsy pathology. The same sort of testing the US military does on all such 'assassinations'. Even with Saddam Hussein, Abu Al-Khayr Al Masri, Muammar Gaddafi.... Among others from that era.

Why silence something that has 100% fail proof evidence to it's backing? Such science is completely accurate, and 100% admissible to any court.

Surely, Obama had proof it was in fact Osama bin Laden that was killed. Right?

Surely any proof still belongs, and is stored, by the government. If Trump really has questions about it, rather than re-Tweet some accusation, why doesn't Trump know already know/have asked? And if he found out Osama wasn't actually killed, as is being alleged, why has he not ordered Barr to open an investigation? I suspect the retweet is because he knows Osama is dead, so would look foolish trying to open an investigation (as too many in government know Osama was killed and would release the DNA evidence) but is looking to find anything to hurt the Democrats in the election.
