The following video is about signs we can see and how they match up with Biblical signs. We can use this information to make some assumptions about the future.

Signs of the Future America and World - YouTube

'Best-selling author, Jonathan Cahn, reveals more secrets to the future of America and the world in his new book, “The Harbinger II.”'

My comment about the video:
9/11/2001 marks the first shock on America. COVID-19 in 2020 marks the second shock according to Jonathan. I guess he forgot about the 2008 financial shock. More shocks will be coming. Expect them to be bigger than 9/11. They could include the destruction of America.

From the first Harbinger book in Chapter 20:

“Yes, the same pattern. First came the initial invasion [of Israel] in 605 B.C., this time by the Babylonians. Later, the same army would return to destroy the land, the city, and the Temple.”

“When?” I asked.

“586 B.C.”

“So from the time of the first incursion to the time of the destruction…about twenty years.”

Note: 605 - 586 = 19 years.

It looks like somewhere around the 20 year mark is a period of grave danger. 2001 + 20 = 2021. We're getting hit at the 19 year mark in 2020 but more shocks are expected to come.

2 Chronicles 7:

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

...

19 “But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, 20 then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Look what comes right before 2 Chronicles 7:14:

13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,

Pestilence could be a sign that comes shortly before something big hits. One last chance to change direction. Big seems to include the possibility of country termination.

Another book called The Fourth Turning was first published in mid-90s. Basically, it said that America runs into a big crisis about 60 to 80 after the last one. It's just based on demographics, and the idea that the further you get from a crisis the more forgetful people get. Then they become susceptible all over again. Given that the last one ended in 1945, the next crisis period would run from 2005 to 2025. A crisis could include revolution, civil war, depression and/or big war.

One should note the current rumblings about civil war and big war. Maybe you should take those seriously.

I think the world has seen much worse since the days of Christ and yet we didn't see His return. Think about Dark Age Europe... famine, plague, wars, Muslim and Mongol invasions. Their world was much more terrifying than ours today. I'm not sure we can rely on uncertainty, plagues and conflict to be the determinate factors, not that you were necessarily suggesting that.

Americo-centrism among the US Christians... "if something is happening in the USA or we experience something new we were not used to before, it means the world must end".

It is very popular to believe we are some sort of special generation or people. Throughout the history of the church people have tried to line up events in scripture to their then current lives. It never really matches, it's all wishful thinking.

There have been much worse times in human history. The French Revolution brought forth antinominanism of the worst sort, whormingering and murder were common place. Christian morals were tossed aside. The decadent, anti-christian world war one spawned a sexual revolution throughout the west and begot the far more wicked second war.

There have been wars, faminines, pandemics and misery throughout the history of mankind. None of it is evidence that Jesus is returning soon. He will return when most of the world is saved and he has no more elect to call. Until then, we shouldn't waste our time looking for signs that Jesus return is imminent.
