I just want to know why all these protestors aren't getting sick. With everyone packed so close together and yelling that virus has to be all over everyone. Maybe tear gas kills it.

Unbelievable this is like a non stop pass the buck marathon. I find this so stupid I guess they think all of us Americans are stupid. This is all stuff from my elementary school recess. I thought I would find mature people when I grew up. A bunch of overgrown adolescents. And most of them are governing the country. Bazaro world, Hulk angry, Hulk smash. My elementry school book report was better than any news out there. So bizarre.

When the virus broke I recall reading an article that expressed concerns about migrant and farm workers and its impact on their demographic. The consensus was social distancing was difficult to implement. They expected an outbreak.

Give it time. The COVID-19 virus needs time to incubate. The cases are on the rise where states have "opened up".

Many testing facilities here were closed during the protests. I'm uncertain if they've reopened.

Migrant farm workers rode in buses to the vegetable fields and citrus groves. The disease spread in buses, subways and passenger planes. Florida is one of the states not requiring face masks. Florida is one of four states seeing spiking infection rates. The restaurants, theaters, theme parks and bars are open in Florida.

Florida reported nearly 90,000 coronavirus cases. Yesterday there were over 3,300 new cases reported.

That is... insane. I know Cuomo has done the opposite: testing sites have been set up in New York specifically for protesters, since they're supposed to get tested as often as possible.

The Mayor in Chicago closed some. Most were located in low-income neighborhoods. There was an outcry about the decision. I checked to see if there are updates. This is from today's Tribune newspaper:

Meanwhile, state health officials reported 546 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 87 deaths. The death tally marks nearly two weeks since Illinois saw more than 100 fatalities in a 24-hour period. The state also announced a record number of COVID-19 test results with 29,987.

Current stats on city site: There have been 50,071 cases of COVID-19 identified in Chicago residents so far and 134,778 in Illinois.

He also said it was due to increased testing... which is contradicted by the fact that their test positivity rate is also increasing.

It's kind of a scary situation for Florida right now, and a few other states.

Yakima County uses a lot of migrant farm labor, and right now its one of the hardest hit areas in the entire US.
