To my knowledge, Jesus confirmed His uncertainty over this specific item twice .

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

(Mark 13:32)

Jesus answered, If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.

John 21:22

Anyone notice how Jesus approached ambiguity here? Although He didn’t know if Judas’ lifespan would see the second coming, he still secured the notion by faith.

But other than this, beware of the One who knows everything, including what makes us tick :)

A mammoth amen to that dear QB!

But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

(Matthew 24:48-51,44)

The words of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes! Jesus will come suddenly, unexpectedly, when many will not be ready, but we can be ready by believing and trusting and living in Christ our Saviour and LORD! Wonderful!

Did Jesus have uncertainty (OP)? Not in the sense of weakness, but ignored any possible setback, His eyes were ever fixed upon the will of the Father in heaven and had no problem whatsoever carrying it out! Hallelujah!

The fact that in death, there is no time duration. This means that we will be instantly resurrected and with the Lord, when He returns on that great day. No matter how far in the future that great day of His return might be.

I have between now and ten to twenty years maximum before I am with the Lord. Not very long to wait.

Curious KD, why you would reference the ‘enemy’ and not the heavenly union we continue in to substantiate your very good point?

'Oh,wondrous day! Oh,glorious morning, when the Son of God shall come. May we with lamps all trimmed and burning gladly welcome His return! Rejoice! Rejoice! Our King is coming and the time will not be long, until we hail the radiant dawning and lift up the glad new song' (Ira D Sankey)
