I am going through the hardest time of my life. God has made me a promise. However the process made me have to give up all of my old friends, and habits. I have no support from my family and now I've run into a unexpected setback in my path towards what God has for me. So now for the past month I've been stressing so bad that even my hair has started to fall out. I've been through a lot in my life and have no problems facing hardships but since I really care about said promise it has really affected me mentally and emotionally. I started the process in August and I have made so much progress but this setback has put me in such a bad mental state I have no one to turn to and nobody to talk to about it. Please somebody with Wisdom help me and encourage me. How can I stop stressing and stay patient.

Psalm 46 - be still and know that God is God.

And maybe spend some time with the Acts of the Apostles. Romans 8 also has consolations in that all of the saints are inwardly groaning, but we look to Him in faith for our comfort.

Physically, spend some time being still, alone in his presence. Sit or kneel, but ask him to please come and comfort you, for his grace to rest upon you, to take the burden if only for a moment because you’ll know that the very next moment you’ll have to look to him again.

Take comfort in him as your place of refuge because it means that no matter what, in the end you are safe.

Shalom.

I am sorry you are facing such a great challenge, ARO. My conversion was quite a life-changing event. I some of what you are going through. All my "friends" wanted nothing to do with me unless it was to try to bring me back down to my old habits. I had no family. But I had been adopted by God, the Father. He became my wonderful loving Father who was and is with me anywhere and everywhere. I also had a brother in my company (military company of about 250 men, 1 or two women) who I could share with now and then as he was in another platoon which had a different work assignment location during the day and different living quarters.

You talked about a promise? Have you been born-again, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ? I only ask cause I seem to hear that your relationship with God is dependent upon your works.

Thank you God truly is the only place of refuge. That Scripture resonates deeply with me.

God is fighting your battles for you and preparing you for His promises. Please do not let yourself down. Consider this as an opportunity to grow closer to God. Listen/read through the book of psalms. I hope you will find it very encouraging. I too have come through similar hardships in my journey towards God.

Thank you so much, you have no idea how much your encouragement helps me. I had to hear that. Your right this is Gods battle He will use this to prepare me and turn all things into good for me. Romans 8:28 I Will definitely read through Psalms, it is one of the most beautiful books of the Bible. It makes me happy to know that I am not the only one who faces similar trials.

If your hair is starting to fall out that means that your situation has gotten worse from a mental problem to a physical one. Have you thought of seeing help from medical/psychological experts?

Edit:Oops. This is a teens only area?
