Yes, he told reporters they should look into it. Do you really think that was the point of his statements? I think that is a long stretch to there.
Perhaps read everything I posted. It might make sense that way.

Some folks detest Pres. Trump so much they will latch onto anything that attacks him.
Been going on since they lost in 2016. As this video shows it was hard for them to get over it, well they never got over it.

When the Gov.s don't appreciate him and his administration they are showing that they don't appreciate all the other people who are doing a great job for the American people.

(Shrugs) I have heard governor's - even Democrats - say positive things about the Federal action taken so far for their states. Do they always want more? OF COURSE! Yet, they also realize the world - not just the USA - are over their heads in just plain awful. Everyone is scared.

It sure would give people a sense of relief in some SMALL sense to know the government is doing SOMETHING. That is a good opportunity to show our country is trying to help them, and they understand their fear about NOT making their rent payment come the beginning of the month...yet giving them some sense of making some progress. Small things like that carry more mileage than people give them credit for. We need it now.

They need that MORE than Trump questioning of a PO with to many masks that even his experts are questioning. Yes, he also admitted it could be an error. They want to complain about the accusations? No problem. Reporting also includes the questioning of what also could have happened, and how the government experts are scratching their heads too. I heard the briefing today, and it was there too.

The Press runs to the awful, and the complaints. Yet, when solutions and misunderstandings happen? You don't hear as much about that. Cuomo - and no doubt it will happen in other states as well - are going to have distribution errors. We are talking the government here after all. There are some things they do well, and other things NOT so much. It takes a couple of humans that are distracted, because MAYBE they have someone near and dear in the hospital that made a mistake...and then all of a sudden the state claims they don't have ventilations that they do. They found PPE's next. It happens and it's okay to admit it. We are all human. It gives a sense of relief that people need it, and are ready to move on to more important things.

It would be nice if we could find stories stating HIP HIP HURRAY the lost supplies are NOW found! I'm speaking of more than a side note, or back story. Citizens need to hear it. They have heard enough doom and gloom all day spouting off stats on how many people are going to die, or how someone heard rumors about how they are going to pick and choose who dies and who lives. Most people get human error. Distribution errors happen all the time. People need some LIGHT now within this darkness. People need this now - they really do!

Trump can be his own worst enemy at times, and yet I don't see the press getting any awards themselves. It's very frustrating when the world is scared, and all you see is stories of even worse. Many parts of it speculation, and that doesn't help. That isn't keeping the population informed either. We don't need opinions during a crisis - we need facts as its seen now. The press has done well in some areas, but they have totally failed in others. WOuld love for them to take the criticism for that like they claim the administration should. I know I'm dreaming - even prior to Trump - they never did a good job at that. That's been a problem prior to Trump.

When you can't say anything positive about how progress has been made from where we were? Yes, I would say unappreciated is a good word to use. Thousands of helpers all muted, because no credit can be given when needed at this time in history - for hope. The Hospital ships are coming to take the overload of cases that don't have anything to do with the virus presently. 1,000 beds, operating rooms, full of supplies to take care of the everyday uglies we are presented with normally. The FEDS putting up hospitals in places for people when they are getting better, and yet not ready to go home yet. Companies that will be in trouble later, and yet halting everything to help by production of goods we need now. The fact they didn't have to be forced, but show this 'we are in this together' spirit is something people NEED to hear now. They need to hear it today more than ever, and it needs to be concentrated on. lol people can minimize Trump's participation later! It doesn't matter to me.

These stories need to be focused on to give a sense of hope, because people know it's not all good. They aren't as stupid as the media seems to think. Yet, hope does help with morale of our people. I don't need to hear about a couple that drank Koi pond fungus chemicals, because they thought they saw an ingredient in there that sounds like the medicine Trump mentioned. How this poor woman lost her husband, and herself being in serious trouble herself...for making a royally stupid decision to drink it with their soda to prevent the virus. Anyone that takes care of fish for any length of time knows those bottles are labeled NOT for human consumption. Then networks and news outlets that choose to run that story KNOWING the facts, and blame the President for what happened to this couple? They aren't doing their job. They are creating fear and friction because they can. You want to do this at a time when a worldwide crisis isn't happening? We are all used to it anyway, but not now. People need true reality, and some sense of hope. The Press is acting like they can't handle it. I know they are good at it when they want to be. Are they so dense they don't see it needed now?

I have two friends that aren't affected right now by the virus, but are affected by what is happening. One needs their gallbladder taken out. She had awful attacks, and they sent her home with pain meds to help...and delay her operation. The stones she had within a week blocked her urethra and they had to do something. Her gallbladder was too inflamed to be removed at that point - so they removed the stones instead, and more pain meds were given to help her prolong the operation again. In normal times? Both would have happened in a timely fashion - stones and gallbladder. She might be looking at a month before she gets what she needs. I hope she makes it that long, and that is NOT some emergency circumstance. Another friend is looking at a cancer circumstance, and I hope delays today don't cost more than just discomfort at this point. I think they will do the right thing, but its scary when you look at the media's take on today at times.

Trump pulled a Trumper is what I call it. lol! Yet, it was clarified later. Point out all the Trumpers to your heart's content later, but today? We need clarification noted, and move on. I can't stand it when it does it, but I have accepted it happens. In some sense I have to accept whom he is - otherwise it would drive me nuts. We need truth and more positive aspects of this crisis right now. The awesome workers, the volunteers, the companies that are helping out of duty - not force, and a since a spirit that helps people continue. We all know pain is coming, but we really need some light right now. It's there, but we need the Press to really bring it home at times.

So I did somehow I missed all or at least most of your posted #12, the long one with an explanation of what you say has been going on, and I believe you about that.
I problem is Trump never mentioned any of that he simply talked about the numbers, nothing about missing shipments. But I see what you mean about the journalists both those asking questions and those writing articles like this one seeing they know there is this problem.

Maybe there's a problem between the warehouse and the hospital if the staff is saying they never got it. It wouldn't be the first that a delivery driver was involved in thief off a delivery truck.
Many, many years ago I had a friend who drove for UPS and he told me about guys stealing TVs, etc. off the trucks. I don't remember how he said they manipulated the paperwork or something so they wouldn't get caught. He didn't turn them in because he was concerned about who they may be partnered with.

Again if you are going to post a political article try not to make it personal.
It's not personal, it's what I've observed from 4 years of watching him. If you break down what he says it pretty much is always: if it's a Republican: "They don't like me because they've always been never Trumpers." If it's a Democrat: "They don't like me because I won in 2016" it's never because they disagree with his policies or because they think they know a different way, and honestly, it's probably the same excuse he's been using pretty much all his life "That teacher has never liked me, that's why they failed me!" Here's an experiment to try: the next time he starts blaming someone else or explains why something is not his fault in your head, change his voice to sound like an eleven year old mean girl on a playground and see if it suddenly becomes a lot easier to hear "I'm the real victim here!".

Yeah, like quoting him after he says it on live television. I mean, you obviously must detest someone a whole lot that you accurately report exactly what he said!
tulc(President Trump is obviously the real victim here) :swoon:

Well Tulc I can see Trump's point you wouldn't want a reporter to hold you accountable for what a crazy person says either right? ^_^

I have no idea if they were replenished, but you have to wonder if it would make any difference now. The way I'm reading it no amount of supplies would have prepared us - or anyone in the world - for what was coming.

I am impressed with the almost daily stories of companies stepping up, and turning their operations into PPE suppliers for now. Everyday they highlight a new company - the briefing and news outlets - of another one doing so.

May I direct your attention to Germany that has a COVIR-19 mortality rate of 0.8% - they also have enough excess capacity to start bringing in patients from other countries!

Given that Germany spends substantially less, on a per capita basis, on their healthcare system as compared to the USA, perhaps Americans should start asking why they response to COVIR-19 was far superior to that in the debacle in this country!

Granted that having Donald Trump as President is a huge cross for Americans to bear, but thus far the performance of the German healthcare system has put its US counterparts to shame!

This is the needless inept “journalism” that we don’t need right now.
We are in an election year. We have a president who, when forced to accept accountability, treats it like a hot potato and throws it to the nearest available target.
These heroic men and women may be called to save your life or mine or the life of someone we love. They may even be called upon to save the lives of those whose character and integrity are non-existent (see first paragraph.) They do it without PPE's and lifesaving medical equipment.
This may not be the only crisis a U.S. president will be called upon to handle (or pass the buck on) between 2020 and 2024. Character counts.
To accuse these patriots, who have more courage and character than he could ever hope for, of stealing goods is beyond contemptible---and yes, the public should know
