Seems like a pretty typical fund raising approach. They create a fake survey and ask a bunch of questions that allow someone to select the seemingly obvious answer. The person enters their name/info and based on that and the responses they have someone to come back and ask for $ from. From my experience both sides of the aisle do it except the questions from the Democrat side would be things like “Do you think the Republican Senate failed the country by NOT impeaching Donald Trump?” or “Are you concerned about religious conservatives and clinic protesters getting in between a woman and her doctor and taking away her reproductive rights?”. Figure out what angers someone of a political leaning off, make someone the “bad guy” and raise money off of it.

I’m not saying I like any of this - but it is what it is.

The only thing that I find disturbing on that website is right at the bottom in fine print. The last thing I need is more phone calls.

"By providing your phone number, you are consenting to receive calls and SMS/MMS messages, including autodialed and automated calls and texts, to that number from each of the participating committees in the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and the Republican National Committee. Msg & data rates may apply. Participating committees’ terms & conditions/privacy policies apply: 88022-info.com (DJTP); 80810-info.com (RNC)."

All the questions about mainstream media. It's a psychiatrists dream, delving into the dark areas of a person's mind.

I really don't see it that way. Trump's campaign has plenty enough reasons to complain the media. They told us for years that Trump colluded with Russia but then when we found out he didn't there wasn't a retraction to be found.

Yep, a psychiatrist's dream.
They told us for years that Trump colluded with Russia but then when we found out he didn't there wasn't a retraction to be found.
Collusion was proven but they couldn't prove that it was illegal. Mueller also outline about what dozen illegal acts of interference, which he could be prosecuted for after he leaves office.

The media reports the information which they find, which may be true or false but they try to verify it. Certain elements of the media aren't held to the same standards as the journalists. Fox or CNN journalists are fairly honest, with a right or left spin but when the opinion programs start then truth gets left behind, some just lie, Hannity.

If you read it and have psychological training you'd know.
I’ve read it and I don’t have such training. So you could just tell us, since you brought it up in your OP.

I agree with everything except calling these kind of things fake surveys. They are biased surveys not fake surveys. A fake survey would be presenting survey results for a survey no one ever responded to or had a chance to respond to. I find these type of biased surveys somewhat transparent in their bias and , though not a fake survey of no actual use in determining anything but the attitudes of those that support the organization that constructed the survey. I can see being bemused or being angered by such a survey but I cannot understand being disturbed by one.

I don't see how this survey's asking questions about media bias or, as the survey suggests its participants should be doing, recognizing the media's biases is delving into anything but , in this particular case, the opinions of potential Trump supporters on the bias of the media.

Media bias or is there bias against the media?

I would say skepticism of the media brought about by obvious media bias. Those on the left are skeptical due to right wing media bias and those on the right are skeptical due to left wing media bias. Neither wants to admit that bias exists on their preferred news outlets or if it does exist it is much less biased than the outlets whose POV they do not share. I would say the average person does not mind bias in what is clearly an editorial piece. That person might disagree , even vehemently and angrily so, with the editorial POV but does not see that as being the same as bias within what is suppose to be news reporting. When a "reporter" gives softball questions and admiring smiles and head nods in an interview of one politician and then debates and badgers in another interview a politician of the opposite political persuasion, can one be blamed for noticing the bias?
