"They don’t grow crops, they mostly subsist off seafood, their canoes are propelled by poles rather than paddles, they sleep in leaf-covered huts, their language doesn’t match anything on record, and experts believe they don’t know how to create fire." -Spencer Neuharth:

You invade the island, remove all the children and take them to good Christian Nations who will instruct them in the Gospel and modern ways. Disarm and segregate the adults, force them to wear clothing and adopt whatever modern skills they are capable of learning at the same time forbidding their savage practices. Forbid and erase all traces of their Godless and primitive ways and encourage them to attend Church at least three times a day. The adults for the most part will be a lost cause but the later decedents of the rescued and saved children should grow up to be well adjusted and productive members of a good Christian society with little or no recollection of their terrible past as savages.

When the Europeans made first contact with the Indians of the Americas their population was estimated at about 60 million. Within a century disease had killed 90%. If we are to make contact with this people at all we had better be certain that we are not going to do the same to them. Aside from that, they have made it perfectly clear that they do not want anything to do with us.

You call them savages. That is not in evidence. Even the most civilized of people will defend themselves.

You reach someone who can reach them.... and you pray constantly for access. Many places like this have existed they have just been wiped out with stronger forces, these people are the rare exception living in a place forgotten and out of the ambitions of colonialist... and to them any outsider is a colonialist. Indian is right to protect them but it slows bringing the gospel.

What makes you think they need a gospel? If you were born and raised in Saudi Arabia you would conclude that they needed the Koran.

The gospel is the redemptive message of restored relationship with God. This isn't just about what coffee I think taste the best, it is a overarching indiscriminate message for all nations and people and if I truly believe this than of course I'm going to value the possibility that all people have access to it.

I get Christians have robbed people of cultural identity and pushed a western system. But Christians miss the point when we turn it into something prescriptive. The gospel transcends culture and is less about the how and more about the who. The host people group can figure out the how while being led by the who, which is Christ, the gospel is just an introduction Christ not a list of things that need to be done which is what the Qur'an would tell me if I grew up in SA.

That would be nice but, at this time it appears that none are being called because, faith comes by hearing the Word. Usually a preacher or missionary.

Sorry I was looking for a Christian view, hence this Christian website??

But you posted in a any-one-can-post section of that site. Here:

This is a forum identical to Kitchen Sink except only Christians can post.

Well I wish someone would get the word to them ...

The article you linked to mentioned the last person who tried that, they killed him and many on the island possibly died from the germs he carried.

What do suggest?
