Ice road truckers

Anyone else watch ice road truckers on Quest? I love that show. Those men are so brave driving a rig over 30 tons over the frozen lake. It shows the cracks in the ice, YIKES! It is amazing. There is one trucker, Alex, that is Christian and he says prayers often when in trouble and speaks of God often. It is a pleasure. Many use profanity but fortunately they bleep it. It is so daring and brave for them. They look like truckers also, lol.

I watched the program a long time ago when they had a girl on there: Lisa. She was on a message board once talking about the show. She said that the producers make stuff up. Like they had her standed out on the road somewhere when she was at home in her warm bed. So much for the reality behind reality shows. We hear the same about that naked and afraid show. The producers make stuff up and they act stuff out to come up with a story line. Anthony Bourdain threw a fit on film once because his producers bought a fish at the fish market and they wanted him to act like he had caught it spear fishing. He refused to go along with it so they put his little temper tantrum on TV. I do not get that stuff anymore. It cost to much for cable TV and I do not watch it that much. I just watch "video" on YouTube that people make and that is still paid for by the advertisers.

Yep, I love Alex! I thought he was Eastern Orthodox at first, but apparently he's Catholic. It's always good to hear him pray, talk about his faith, and be a witness. Nice guy! Cool show. I could never do that.

Yes, all reality shows have scripts they follow for the plotline.

Lisa is still there but I haven't seen her on the ice truckers. She does the other truckers show. That's also scary on the drop offs the mountains. They are all dare devils. I think they have death wishes. I don't pay for it. I have a digital converter and an antenna. Its all free.

Pretty hard to have scripts when you see them fighting the blizzards and the frozen lakes, etc. That kind of daring is hard to script. If you haven't seen it you should at least watch once before you give a negative. I have an enjoyable time even through the fear for them. A lot of excitement for me in my boring life
