God help us! She and her parents and her associates are sheisters and hypocrites.....they ALL just flew in a jet to Canada and various other countries, while hypocritically condemning poor shmucks just trying to support their families by driving to work, etc.

God help us!

Praying!

On Thursday top Vatican officials hailed Swedish teen Greta Thunberg, recently named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” for her environmental advocacy, as a “great witness” of Church teaching on care for creation and the human person.

I'm not looking forward to the Phanar making a similiar statement. Our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has been referred to as the 'Green Patriarch' due to his public statements regarding our stewardship of the environment. I pray they show discernment and avoid jumping onto the Greta bandwagon.

Is she even Catholic?

I wouldn't bet on it. Given how secular Europe is, especially the Scandinavian countries like Sweden. Plus she's a "Gen-Z-er" who have had notoriously irreligious upbringings. Add to that her parents parenting styles don't seem to reflect any sense of Catholic values (they've let her call the shots on many things, including her converting them to veganism, supposedly).

I do not know if you’ve seen this but ran across it when researching her.

Church of Sweden Encounters Backlash When It Retweets Greta Thunberg as 'Successor' to Jesus

Does that make her the antichrist? You know recently I've been wondering whether the antichrist would turn out to be a woman just because it would be the opposite of Christ. Given the feminist culture we find ourselves in today it doesn't seem too far out of reach to imagine the world bowing down to a (false) 'female savior'.

I know that doesn't line up with Scripture or the Church in any way, but it's nevertheless been on my mind.

There have always been many anti-christs. But she’s a kid with Aspergers and some other mental issues. So I try to tread softly. Seems she is used more that actually leading imo.

No, i haven't seen it. She and her parents are rather despicable. They are milking this for all it's worth....

There are rumblings however, of many growing literally sickened by the hypocrisy being shoved down our throats, and the propaganda pushers calling it "good".

A big ol' mural was posted somewhere (i forgot which country) on the side of a building, and it was defaced. Badly.

I believe there is a mural in San Francisco. I do not know much about Greta’s parents. I have noticed a big trend in ageism when it comes to these activists movements. One of the last acceptable prejudices I guess. Along with the many others. Lol! Anyway, I give credit where it is due but if it lacks sincerity or seems manipulative, I feel uncomfortable with it.

I wonder how many despots and murderers had some kind of disability, but it was ignored because western civilization is too politically correct to admit that there can be unrelated character flaws in disabled persons too? I know that sounds insensitive, but that's kind of my point. What has mankind turned a blind eye to historically because the person was labeled with a disability? If anything that's treating them equally to everyone else by considering they're just as capable of good and evil as someone without a disability.

Just thinking my thoughts...

There was also a mural in the UK or Ireland (or maybe Canada?) where it was defaced and painted over, i think. There was a short video of a reporter attempting to ask questions of her father and Greta, asking why they were riding jets (since they're so "against" the pollution they cause, etc. and why they're staying in the most expensive hotels, etc. and the father and the others were downright nasty and told wouldn't respond to the legitimate questions.

I understand your point but she’s a kid. I don’t attack kids if I can help it. Maybe I’m too PC.

I heard about that. Admittedly, I have not really kept up on this issue. I’m all for being a good steward, that is Biblical but these activists movements usually have a nasty underbelly and I usually find these latest movements untrustworthy and more about the bigger agenda of manipulating general thought in the public.

That is the whole reason the leftwing are behind her activism. If you attack what she stands for then it gets painted as a bullying attack on a child.

i agree. I think they're using Greta as a "shield" to hide behind. It's a horrible thing to do, because so many are going to find it (the hypocrisy) and the accusations of "How DARE you!!!" obnoxious and all that they've programmed her to do is going to make her the object of ridicule, etc.

Which is hypocritical since a lot of people wanted to doxx the Catholic kid with the MAGA hat who was smiling to the Indian guy.

That could be a 100% her too. I don’t know. Lol! I just haven’t jumped on the Greta bandwagon. But it is interesting how many have in such an incredibly short period of time. I have trust issues! Lol! ;)

"Trust issues" can sometimes be seen as "discernment", which is a GOOD thing. :)
