For those of you younger posters, Jeanne Dixon was a Catholic psychic who attended Mass every day and reportedly predicted President Kennedy's assassination. I still recall one of her predictions which failed to come true and that was that there would be only one more Pope and then the Catholic Church would decide to be ruled by a body of Bishops, instead of a single person. Is it possible that the Church could yet change it's ruling format and start to be governed by perhaps a small group of Bishops? Might this be a way to better safeguard the Church from some of the problems that many of you are upset about at the present time?

It is more in line with the workings of the first 1000 years. It could help.

Acts 19:19
And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.

A little group of bishops? Like Marx, Kasper, Wuerl, Bergoglio and Schönborn or something...?
I guess we wouldn't notice any difference.

Exactly. The Church is already controlled by a rather large group-- For anyone paying attention. That's not the problem. Heterodoxy is!
