Do you feel like your fulfilling your purpose in Christ ?

I could be wrong, B8t6, but isn't our purpose to live an obedient life to God? Isn't it to love one another and serve one another, as Christ was and remains toward us? Isn't it to share this message of hope, the gospel, to those who do not know and are on the edges of eternal damnation?

Sure, not everyone is called to do a particular thing, sometimes it is a variety of things that God may place you in to glory him. But, even if it was a particular thing, it doesn't have to be something spectacular and exciting. Someone may be called to live Christ, in perfect submission to the will of God, working as a stocker at a Walmart superstore or simply a homeschooling parent.

Do I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose in Christ? My feelings are very subjective and changeable, they do not dictate truth or determine how faithful I am to God. I must look forward to the goal, the prize ahead of me and not focus so much on my failure, unless it is to better improve and grow spiritually.

Let me ask you this, how do you serve Christ in your work, in your family, with your friends? How do you help your local church? How many people have you shared the gospel with? Are you still in prayer? Do you give extra time, effort, or means to glorify God and love others? Do you study the Scriptures? What more are you doing to honor him?

I doubt there is just 1 big purpose for any of us, but more like a day to day becoming more like Christ, helping someone in need, a kind word, etc. I think we spend too much time wanting some kind of grand purpose, when what He wants is the simpler things; to love and hang out with Him, to love each other, to not swear at other drivers when I'm alone in my car (in my case)...:), etc.

Now is time to seek God in prayer > for You to change us so we fulfill Your purpose . . . with us. The fact that we have not fulfilled Your purpose is not the point. Plus . . . also > the real fulfillment comes later, after we die. Your purpose is to change us into the image of Jesus > Romans 8:29. Our purpose is not only what we do in this life, though this matters.

So - - - please do succeed in us, now, encourage us, have Your way with success with us. In Jesus' name, amen.

We submit to You, now, that You may prove Yourself with us, now.

To glorify God.

I have heard stories told by little kids who seem to understand it better than the average adult.
