But does it say He does "kill the soul"?

How do you reconcile the belief of only a few are saved (in reference to an afterlife away from His presence forever) to these passages?:

Ps. 86:9, “ALL nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.”

Ps. 65: 2, “Oh, You that hears prayer, unto you shall ALL flesh come.”

Ps. 22: 27, “ALL the ends of the earth shall remember and TURN unto the Lord; and ALL the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you.”

Isa. 45:22-25, “Look unto me and be you saved, ALL the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is none else. I have SWORN by myself; the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me EVERY knee shall bow, EVERY tongue shall swear, surely shall say: "In the Lord have I RIGHTEOUSNESS and strength."
Psalms are not doctrinal statements, they allow for poetic license. And the Isaiah passage is calling all to be saved, not saying all will. Certainly, ever knee will bow in submission, not all willingly.

Eternal separation from God.
Show me a passage that explains it that way. Clearly if that's the message God sends to us through His word and His incarnate life through Christ, we'd have that spelled out for us repeatedly.

The Old Testament, in general, is Hebrew poetry - but we shouldn't dismiss it because of that. We should attempt to understand it in its context.

No where does it say one can not reject salvation. And yes, Jesus chose the disciples. And one of them betrayed him. Again, pulling verses out with out context. Why did he tell Jewish people that it had to be granted by the father? Because they had rejected what the father taught them. They had hardened their hearts, and were not in a state, at that time to believe. But they got their chance.

Dear Ren: Salvation begins in Him and ends in Him. This is not a giant Heavenly gambling casino of chance, 1st or 2nd or third au nauseum. He calls, we answer! One must hear Him say "come", but and until you hear Him all is in vain.

Every knee, every tongue, every heart, in every dimension of the heavens, the earth & the underworld in antiphonal worship

If one were to come up with something to support that idea then that would have to also mean God is NOT omnipresent as David believed Him to be.

Thank God because He’s good, because His love never quits.

Tell the world, His love never quits.

Children of Aaron, tell the world, His love never quits.

And you who fear God, join in, His love never quits.

My God, I lift high Your praise. You are so good.

oudepote= never at any time

His love never quits!

"It's not about us inviting Jesus into our hearts.

It's about us coming to see that He's already included us in His."

https://www.thebvbs.com/quotes
If I read Luke 14:15-23 correctly, it is Jesus who is doing the inviting! Everyone is invited to the great banquet but not everyone will come. The master tells his servant to bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. There is a place at the table for anyone who wants to be there. As Revelation 22:17 states "The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life."

Hi there Anthony: It is interesting in this parable of the Christ regarding the servants going into the highways and byways. All the great excuses of why attendance at the feast is impossible, leads to the servants going out to compel others to come to the feast.

Anakazo actually means to put constraint upon by threat, entreaty, force or persuasion and is closely linked with parabiazomi meaning using force.

The great excuses guys fail to attend, while others in the highways and byways are compelled to attend by constraint. Go figure.

Thank you for your post, my British friend, I actually have never thought of this parable in any depth before. I am heading off now to think of why the Master said>>>

He opened their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures.

Hi FineLinen! My favourite parts of the Bible are Jesus's parables. There is always something new to discover every time you read them! :)

Yes, " He who has ears let him hear," but most choose to be deaf. Who said anything about chance? There's a reason for everything, it's just that often the reason is foolishness and pride.

Lol, that's absurd. Just because the word separation isn't used, doesn't make it less true. God can't remove his presence? Is God subject to his own attributes?

And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. Does "they got their chance" ring any bells?

I repeat: our Father's purpose in the Son of His love has zero chance.
