It is sad to know that many who hold to covenant theology don't know that Presbyterian covenant theology and Baptist covenant theology are totally different.

Presbyterians hold that the covenant of grace is seen in two administrations in Scriptures. That is how they support their view that baptism replace circumcision and why they baptize infants.

Baptists believe that the covenant of grace is not in two administrations but progressively revealed in the Old Testament and is now the New Covenant. Not that it became the New Covenant it was revealed as the New Covenant.

Would anyone like to discuss this?

Covenant Theology allows for a visible institutional church of believers and non believers through infant baptism. It is close to the OT State Church that did the same only through circumcision.

But in the New Covenant, God removed unbelievers by abolishing circumcision and instituting water baptism of believers only.

I'm not Reformed Baptist but maybe one of them can add to this.

What you give is Presbyterian Reformed covenant theology. I am a Baptist, though not a Reformed Baptist, who holds to Baptist covenant theology.

Are you Presbyterian?

I'm closest to the 1689 London Confession.

I differ with it in a few areas. That is why I am not a Reformed Baptist. Have you ever read " The Distinctiveness of Baptist Covenant Theology " by Pascal Denault?
I haven't read it. But will look it up.

Ok then feel free to misrepresent some Baptists on any forum of your choosing.
I am not misrepresenting anyone. Baptists historically have been covenantal. Still, since this is the covenant theology forum those who discuss here tend to be covenantal. If I were posting this in the Baptist forum I would have put some Baptists.

From the looks of it you are a member of an elite team of highly trained specialists. You are to be commended.

This is an interesting topic, I admit I don't know the difference between the two.

I know some Baptists are dispensationalists, but they also aren't reformed Baptist.

But where the differences lie between the various reformed doctrines I am admittedly simply ignorant.

I would be happy to hear your take on the differences or perhaps be led to books for further reading.

Put the Westminster Confession of Faith beside of the 1689 London Baptist Confession, and you will see that the London Baptists used the WCF as their source document.

Except for those things which deal with baptism, there is very little difference between them.
