The problem with the translation of

Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

In the original Greek---there is no punctuation or capitalization. It all depends on where you place the coma.
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee today, shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Read as most translation state---it makes Jesus a liar. He was not in Paradise that day for He said to Mary:

oh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

What He said to the thief is more accurately stated as
I tell you this day that thou shalt be with me in Paradie. In other words, today, in spite of Me being on this cross on the verge of dying--- I promise you Paradise. He was promising He would be with Jesus--but Jesus did not ascend to His Father until sometime between the time He met Mary and when He met the diciples in the locked room. He did not allow Mary to touch Him--or others say cling--but then He told Mary He would be going to His Fathert and when He came to the dicipoles, He had Thomas touch His wounds.

The Greek word paradeisos is how the Septuagint translates the Hebrew word for “garden” (gan) in the garden of Eden account in Genesis 2-3. According to the end of Genesis 3 humanity was expelled from the garden and denied access to the tree of life, with the way guarded by cherubim with flaming sword (Genesis 3:23-24).

Paradise ultimately comes from an Iranian word that the Greeks modified into paradeisos, meaning "enclosed park." In Hellenistic Greek, "paradeisos" was also used in the Septuagint - an early Greek translation of Jewish scriptures - in reference to the Garden of Eden.

It is not interpreted as some otherworldly place but an earthly garden of beauty---the word Eden actually means "pleasure." This earth, made new, is going to be our home once again. That is what Jesus was promising the thief--the original garden of pleasure made new.

So you are assuming that God the Father lives in Paradise? However Paradise and spirit prison are the two places spirits go after we die, not where God the Father lives.
