I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I found Netflix to be rubbish long long ago, I rather watch a 50's-90's TV series or movie (golden era in my opinion) but not the cheap Netflix streams nor Hollywood's recent products. (I boycotted Netflix long ago and never had an account on it anyway)

As someone with OCD, i can confirm that one can find peace of mind in the vintage productions. However, put me in front a 2018 movie and watch my OCD showers me with negative thoughts. And i quite take this as a powerful indicator, no one can deny the amount of peace and beauty in the 50's-90's productions and even the older ones alongside other sections of art. Most modern productions aren't only meaningless to me but ugly as well. (there are a few good modern productions out there, but they are very few and not widely accepted anyway or that famous. Sharing beauty is not in Hollywood's interests)

Georgians should be glad that their land is clean from Hollywood now. And I find the Georgia heartbeat bill to be very reasonable. Wish if that was everywhere. I don't know who convinced them that it is fine to give women rights a priority over children rights. Everyone is equally important. Quite frankly, I find children to be more important in priority than any human being anyway.

I'm inclined to cancel my subscription...except it isn't mine, it's my parents and my whole family shares it. Still, they're pretty incensed by Netflix too so I imagine I could convince them to cancel.

They have more to lose than we do.

The good news is that Netflix will get their back sides handed to them by Disney+. Since Disney has bought practically all of Hollywood now, owns zillions of IP's, has probably produced almost half a century's worth of marketable content and has a brand seemingly made out of solid gold, there's virtually no way that they won't crush Netflix once the full scope of Disney+ becomes apparent.

The bad news is that Disney is even worse than Netflix.

St. Pope John Paul II was never a big fan of boycotts. He believed they harmed employees disproportionately. We will see what happens...saying they will rethink their relationship and leaving millions of tax breaks on the table are different.
