Scripture
10 Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water."
Observation
Jesus is in the Samaritan village Sychar. He stops at a water well after His long journey there. A woman then comes to the well and Jesus starts a conversation with her. Jesus tells her He is the living water and eventually straight out tells her that He is the Messiah.
Application
This pinged me because the New Testament Daily Devotional had the following commentary:
"Do you live like Jesus is above all else in your life? When He is, your thirsts change. His living water fills your every longing. When He is above all, you simply thirst for more of Him"

This is an interesting commentary because the last couple months it really does seem as though my thirsts have changed. Well at least it started out that way. I really felt as if I I was on the cusp of something, I don't know what that something was. But it felt like I was on the edge and I was about to tip over into something new and exciting. However, it didn't work out that way. Instead, it now feels like I tipped the other way and everything feels the exact opposite of new and exciting. But what was that I experienced? Why did I tip one way and not the other?
Have my thirsts changed? Yes, absolutely. Do I thirst for more of Him? Yes, absolutely. Does that mean He is above all? I don't think I can say that. Maybe that is why it feels like I tipped the wrong way?

Yes.

OR, in any case, never trust (in the flesh) feelings nor emotions - and don't follow them.

ALWAYS seek to walk in the spirit, led by God, all the time, day and night.
