The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee deleted a Twitter poll it had posted Friday asking users if they preferred Supreme Court justices to be like Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Brett Kavanaugh.

Why? The wrong justice was winning.

The DSCC's account finally cried uncle when users overwhelmingly chose Kavanaugh, whom President Donald Trump nominated last year, over Ginsburg, the 86-year-old progressive icon who's been on the court since 1993.

Kind of funny, but honestly, polls like this are worse than useless because it's way too easy to brigade them. The only time poll data is a valid representation of views is when the sample is randomly selected.

That was a pretty surprising turnout. It is so shocking that a part of me is left questioning the results despite the fact I would vote the same.

I don't trust any publicly-accessible polls. If there is no control on the sample, it's way too easy to manipulate the results. See Boaty McBoatface, Dub the Dew, Kim Jong Un as Time's Person of the Year, Stephen Colbert Bridge, and many other examples. Post a link to the poll in the right place and thousands or millions of like-minded people will flock to it and force their desired result.

This smells of the Conservisphere getting wind of it and then having folks dogpile the poll. The Free Beacon must think we're too stupid to know things like that occur.

Asking the twitter sphere who they want as a USSC Justice is a stupid idea to begin with.....I get, it was done to incentivize people to vote....but that points to a larger problem IMO....

Lol. She kept doing her job even after breaking bones, having a cancer scare. She had to work from home for a little while but didn't fail in meeting her duties. Sure as heck functions better than Donald, the man who lied about bones spurs & let rain get in the way of him doing his duties.
