It's kind of a golden age of Catholic publishing. But people are switching how they read things.

Our semester circulation was 60,000 books.

Even just about 7 years ago... That was a 5-day circulation over exam week and that's being conservative.

How people are reading and what they're reading shifts back and forth.

I prefer hard copy but use both. I did utterly fail this quiz though.
I read most of my books on an Ipad now. Print is not dead , just a different method of reading. I read two newspapers a day on line and various news outlets.

Same. I've tried reading on tablets and Kindles in the past, but for some reason when my eyes are on a screen I can't settle down and I'm wanting to do several things at once. Put a hard copy in my hands and I calm down. The tactile experience of reading a book is important.

I also prefer hard copy, you might think I am a dinosaur (but I also buy small amount of ebooks).
I like the feel of a printed book, I feel more joyful when reading one, also I can concentrate more on the contents.

I'll tell you working overnight in a library with 5 million books (2.5 at my location), sometimes I just walk to the long lines of shelves and am like, "yeahhhhh"

I have lots of ebooks and feel privileged with my access to hard copies. But yes there is really a difference in holding a book reading it.

I believe there's actually been some neurological studies on it.

I’m can somewhat verify that. My sister (English, Psych BA; Psych MA) has looked into that phenomenon and it’s very interesting.
