As parents, it’s our responsibility to train up our children in “The Way” (God’s way) that they should go. But it is their responsibility to go in the way they are trained. i agree. Tragically, many Christian parents assume that their children will just automatically "follow" Christ with all their hearts, without even showing them what that means in their own lives. How many actually "pray" fervently for their children? Don't we know that there's a "war" raging out there? A spiritual war, and the enemy STILL goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Have we TAUGHT our children for the NEED of God's armor?

No one can hang glide into the Kingdom of God nor "coast" into it.

Not even us, who call ourselves Christian, nor can our children.

Thank you for this profound and timely study, meditation, and reminder on this bitterly cold and arctic Thursday morning in January, my friend.
