Scientists discover the firmament (dome)?

The velocity of light is constant for all observers, under all conditions. The frequency of light (color) will change if the space along its route is modified (contracts or expands).
Well, not exactly. The biblical account looks like it fits just fine with the ancient idea of a solid dome over the earth, moon and stars and sun fitting on the under side of the dome, water held back by the dome, earth flat, resting on pillars, water under all that.
The modern universe is teeming with galaxies which have billions of stars each and our sun is only one of the many stars of our own galaxy, with our globular (not flat) earth orbiting it (not stationary) and so forth, we all know that picture.
To get the biblical account to agree with the modern picture, you must insert some weird ideas. It goes like this:
Biblical account >>>>>>>(insert weird ideas here) >>>>>> modern knowledge
Of course, with enough ingenuity the weird ideas you insert may seem adequate to bridge the gap, especially to someone who is relatively ignorant of the actual situation of the universe.
But those with more knowledge will always see the weird idea method of rescuing literal bible interpretation as merely expressing yet another weird idea.
You idea of a time dilation of the earth, for example. What's the cause of it? What's the reason for it? Why would a creator ever bother with such an anomaly? Besides, we have plenty of evidence that the earth has actually experienced deep time.
How many generations of diatoms do you think it took to lay down the white cliffs of Dover?
You idea of stretching slowing turning to a red shift . . . hah! Stretching is ALREADY a red shift.
I have no doubt that the more one raises such common sense objections to the ad-hoc rationalizations being proposed, the ad-hoc rationalizations could be tweaked more to accomodate those rationalizations.
"Hey, maybe those extra diatom skeletons were merely created in place, and they don't really mean, each one, that a diatom really died and was buried there . . . "
Explaining away evidence as evidence comes along begins to be a bit silly, especially since the alternative, accepting evolution theory and the age of the earth, allows one to actually predict what new evidence will come along and where to look for it.
You should trust the direct Word of God revealed in the stars, the rocks, and the genomes.

The powers of EVIL that have controlled this earth for centuries, if not MILLENNIA, have always HATED and have sought to destroy Christianity and the Christian Faith. Why? Consider the following: the earliest Christians, i.e., the Apostles, and the THOUSANDS who SAW and HEARD Jesus, and witnessed his miracles, sat at his feet listening to the Sermon on the Mount, His arrest, crucifixion and RESSURECTION-THESE Christians were the same ones who WILLINGLY, and WITHOUT fear, walked into to the Coliseum to their CERTAIN DEATH, PRAISING GOD, knowing that beyond the temporary pain was the Lord and Christ waiting for them. Again, WHY were they so seemingly totally without fear? BECAUSE they knew beyond a doubt of the existence of something greater than anything to fear on this Earth. The POWERS of that day were TERRIFIED, JUST AS THE POWERS OF THIS CURRENT DAY ARE, of people they could not control with fear and terror! And so, for the past 2,000 years, all their energies have been directed to DESTROYING that POWER-THE POWER OF ABSOLUTE CHRISTIAN FAITH! Now, fast forward to Charles Darwin, in whom they saw the PERFECT TOOL for destroying the Christian faith! If they could convince the world that Man was nothing more than an accidental collection of cells that EVOLVED from a pool of slime that was hit by LIGHTNING, WITH NO SOUL AND NO GOD involved, THAT would be the ultimate key to destroying faith! Indeed, when Evolution began to be taught in the public schools in the late 50s-early 60s, things changed RAPIDLY! Tell a child that there is no God, and therefore no CONSEQUENCES WHATSOEVER about how he/she lives his/her life, and you have the beginning of the END of standards, morals, right and wrong and disciplined behavior, and the beginning of moral relativism, and eventually, total Godlessness.
All was going well for Satan for quite a while, until something occurred in the late 1950s that threatened to destroy his carefully laid plans- The Space Race, and the advent of powerful rockets that both the U.S. and Russia began to launch into the skies. What they discovered when they did so TERRIFIED THEM SO COMPLETELY, it changed the dynamics of everything for the next 6 decades. But first let me back up a bit: in EVERY SCHOOL CLASSROOM, both public and parochial,
was found a GLOBE of the Earth; the "fact" of the Earth being an enormous round ball, spinning at 1,000 miles an hour, hurtling through "space" at 18,000 mph with another less enormous round rock (the "moon") revolving around it, and BOTH objects speeding in a huge elliptical orbit around a flaming ball of hydrogen gas (the "sun") NINETY THREE MILLION MILES AWAY! These "FACTS" were never allowed to be questioned-EVER-by ANYONE, and for anyone to do so would invite uproarious laughter, followed by scorn and derision HEAPED upon ANYONE who DARED TO CHALLENGE "accepted" Doctrine!
Now, back to the "space program": it was discovered that when the U.S. and Russia fired their missiles STRAIGHT UP, SOMETHING occurred at about 70 miles up-THE ROCKETS HIT AN INVISIBLE "BARRIER" AND EXPLODED! One launch after another ended in explosion after explosion! THIS absolutely shook the scientists and military of both the U.S. and Russia to their very cores! What happened next was a 4 year BOMBARDMENT OF THE FIRMAMENT DOME (DISGUISED AS "ATMOSPHERIC TESTING", by HUGE nuclear missiles with MAGA-TONNAGE that made the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki seem like FIRECRACKERS by comparison! In all, over a 4 year period, OVER FOUR DOZEN ULTRA-POWERFUL NUCLEAR WARHEADS were fired at the Dome in an attempt to DESTROY IT! The RESULTS? NOT ONE CRACK-NOT EVEN A SCRATCH!!!!! All this is DOCUMENTED-THIS IS NOT SOME FABRICATED STORY MADE UP FOR AMUSEMENTS SAKE! In fact, there exists actual film footage of these failed attempts to destroy the Firmament Dome!!
The powers that be, in a panic, came up with a plan: they needed to provide "credible" film footage and pictures of "globe earth" from space; but that would be impossible since A) earth was NOT a "globe", and B) you could not get high enough to do so!
Now, this "new" development became common knowledge to NASA, the astronauts, and all of the world elites and scientists of other countries "space" programs-but not to the PEOPLE of Earth! No, this knowledge would kept hidden away no matter what the cost! So, in 1969, NASA approached Stanley Kubrick, and, after being forced to reveal the reason for the request, asked him to film a "moon" landing on a prepared sound stage in the Nevada desert. Kubrick did so reluctantly, but was haunted by his decision to participate in the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the people of earth until he could no longer stand it, and made the FATAL error of saying OUT LOUD that he was going to go public with the hoax. He was MURDERED shortly thereafter.
There is FAAAAAR more to this story than I have the time to put down here; the TRUTH is all out there on the internet-videos of a very old Buzz Aldrin finally admitting the fraud-on film-in an attempt to clear his conscience, films of the astronauts interviews after the "moon landing", all looking guilty as hell and obviously hiding something, and a video on youtube called "Astronauts Gone Wild", in which, on video, each astronaut who had supposedly walked on the moon was approached by an interviewer under the pretense of asking questions about the "space flights" and "moon landings" and instead produced a King James Bible, and on camera, asked each astronaut to place his hand on the Bible and SWEAR that they had indeed walked on the moon. You need to watch this for yourselves-each of them treated that Bible as if it was pure radioactive Plutonium 235!!! I'm going to conclude by making a few fantastic but absolutely true statements here: There is NO "continent" of Antarctica-IT DOES NOT EXIST! Instead, there is a 200 foot Ice Wall surrounding the entire circumference of Flat Earth. (do the research!) Additionally, both the sun and moon are contained INSIDE the Firmament dome, NOT "93,000,000 miles" or "248,000 miles" (again, DO THE RESEARCH!) Got a few questions for you then.
1. How do comets work on Flerf?
2. How does the ISS work on Flerf. The speed at which it moves across the sky would tear it to shreds if it were a balloon or make sonic booms if it were a plane and people actually take photos of it and it's not a balloon or airplane.
3. Why is the flight from Sydney to Santiago faster than the flight from Sydney to Los Angeles when it should be hours shorter on Flerf?
4. How does the spotlight sun work on Flerf?
5. What is this if no one can get to Antarctica?

Why does the Sun disappear at sun set no matter how much magnification you look to the west with?
Why would the Christians of NASA and the US government not use evidence for a Creationist model of Earth to dispute Soviet communism and atheism?
Why are the stars the same in all the vastly separated areas of the flat Earth's outer rim?

And yet, FE adherents have been telling us that the government "knew" about the dome long ago and was trying to punch holes through it (when they were simply doing nuclear testing in space when it was allowed). Now we're being told that scientists are just discovering that there's a dome?
True science establishes facts and then builds on them. The FE idea changes depending on who's telling the story.
