Who was the last king of Judah?

Who said there was no evidence? And what good is evidence to an atheist? Unless you can say something to motivate me, I am not especially interested in pursuing this discussion.

There were no Davidic kings after the return from exile but David's line lived on. Matthew traces the lineage from exile to the time of Christ in his first chapter. IIRC the Zerubbabel mentioned in Matthew 1:12 is the same Zerubbabel mentioned in Zechariah and Ezra as the governor of post-exilic Judah. He was a governor, but not a king.

That's what I thought, I had noticed Zerubbabel in the genealogy of Matthew. I have often wondered if there was something in the Rabbinical writings about the house of David, guess I'm not too surprised given the political climate of the intertestamental period. Thanks for the feedback.
