(Deu 7:6 KJV) For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 7:7 KJV) The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

(Deu 7:8 KJV) But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt.

(Deu 7:12 KJV) Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers:

(Deu 7:13 KJV) And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kin, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

"in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee"

The above means that God did not give the land to them yet. They must first earn this gift.

I believe they have not earned this right, do you?

(Ezek 36:17 KJV) Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their ..own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

(Ezek 36:18 KJV) Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it.

(Ezek 36:22 KJV) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Ezek 36:31 KJV) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

(Ezek 36:32 KJV) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, Ohouse of Israel.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) states that they will be gather and once gathered He will judge them one last time. That day of judgement is NOW.

Based on their actions towards the stranger I believe they have failed Him for the last time.

How about you?

What happened/will happen to the chosen ones?

Firstly, the chosen ones are those who hear the word of God and keep it. So this excludes many born of Israel and includes many Gentiles.

Secondly, the whole problem that they had in possessing the promised land was that they did not wipe all the nations out and then you say "its because they weren't kind to the Philistine that God dispossessed them." When this is opposite of what God commanded them. He warned them about leaving some alive and they becoming thorns in their sides causing them to be led astray after other Gods.

But as for today, there is no such ordinance or call for the Israelite people to welcome their enemies and let them walk all over them. They've done this already and that time is over.

You mentioned the "Palestinians" and whether the Chosen People (Hebrew) accept them. First, all Hebrews were Palestinians...as the name of the area was Palestine named so to taunt the Hebrews about the Philistines, an arch enemy.

As you studied the OT surely you found time after time where God told His people to conquer another ungodly enemy...totally destroying everything etc...and where when they did not, it came back to bite them (like the head of a snapping turtle)...

The problems in Israel today are because they DID allow the Bedouin people --those Arab and Persia peoples who passed through and stayed at times with their herds---to stay and live peaceably with them (the Hebrews). But even today, everyone who lives in Israel is considered an Israeli.

That's pretty tolerant of their enemy.

But because they did not clear out the land for themselves only they are suffering once again ...meaning they do not have their temple where they can complete their (orthodox) worship etc...

That's my POV.

You should read the Book of Joshua. You will see that God did give them the land. And then many years later they went into captivity in Babylon because they did not keep the Sabbath. Also the land God gave them was not allowed to rest every 7 years.

I believe they have not earned this right, do you?[/QUOTE

Palestinians are not their enemy. This is a self professed view in order to murder man, woman and children and not feel any guilt afterwards

And then many years later they went into captivity in Babylon because they did not keep the Sabbath.

I agree God gave them the land while attaching conditions in order to keep it. God gave them this land twice. The first time, as you noted they failed to obey His commandments so it was taken away.

Now, in our lifetime He gave them the land once again. And He is now looking upon them to see if they have repented and returned to his flock.

That is what this forum is all about. Today, what does God see and do you think He likes what He sees?

Now Joshua was old and advanced in years, and the Lord said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess. This is the land that yet remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites (from the Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is counted as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of the Avvim, in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of the Amorites, and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath, all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I myself will drive them out from before the people of Israel. Only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you. Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh.” ~Joshua 13:1-7

Manasseh did not drive out...~Judges 1:27

And Ephraim did not drive...~Judges 1:29

Zebulun did not drive out...~Judges 1:30

Asher did not drive out...~Judges 1:31

Naphtali did not drive out...~Judges 1:33

Now the angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, “I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I swore to give to your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you, and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done? So now I say, I will not drive them out before you, but they shall become thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.
~Judges 2:1-3

The people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they forsook the Lord and did not serve him. ~Judges 10:6

The people were charged by God to drive out the inhabitants.

When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out, you shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, nor do as they do, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces. You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you. None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you. I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land. And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. You shall make no covenant with them and their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” ~Exodus 23:23-33

That is what this forum is all about. Today, what does God see and do you think He likes what He sees?

As for the Israelites today, they do not recognize Yahshua as the coming King. This is their problem and why God is about to make it clear to them who is the Lord. This is a much bigger problem than international diplomacy.

Depends what you mean by "chosen".

There are 2 prophecies about national Israel that we can see today. First that they would be a nation again (parable of fig tree Mark 13, Matt 24); this occurred in 1948 after being destroyed by the Roman Titus in AD 70. The second that they will remain in unbelief until the end of time (Romans 11). They are just as adamant about their opposition to Christ as the Messiah as they were at any time in their history

The Israelites were chosen in the sense that for 2100 years, God worked through Israel to bring us the Bible. The Bible was written principally by Jews. Christ our Savior came out of national Israel. He was given His human nature from the nation of Israel. He was a blood descendant of Abraham and King David, of the tribe of Judah. In that sense, the Israelites were the chosen people.

Eternally, the Israelites, the physical Jews, are not chosen. The chosen people are the spiritual Jews, those who trust in the Lord Jesus. Eternally, those who trust Jesus are the elect or the chosen of God, and they come from every nation of the world. Romans 2:28, 29 ”For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart” Everyone who is a blood descendant of Abraham is a physical Jew. The Jew that God talks about in this passage is the person who has come to trust in the Lord Jesus. (Galatians Chapter 3:29): If someone is Christ’s, it means that he has become saved.

The nation of Israel now stands on the same ground as any Gentile nation. No one has a superior position or advantage over anyone else. The physical Jews are in unbelief and might become saved, if that is the will of God, just as those in Gentile nations are in unbelief and might become saved, if that is the will of God. In Romans Chapter 11, God is talking to the Gentiles about the nation of Israel. Here God underscores the fact that no nation has any superiority or advantage over any other nation (verses 30 to 32).

We can be a Gentile and belong to the Lord Jesus, and then spiritually, we are of the seed of Abraham, that is, of the lineage of Abraham. We are the true Jews, which God speaks of in Romans 2:28 and 29. We are a Jew inwardly. “Circumcision is that of the heart” means that our sins have been cut off.

Duet 7 uses national Israel as an example of all true believers who inherit the land, which is the kingdom of God. Those that inherit the land make up the eternal Israel consisting of a remnant of people from around the world and throughout time.

When one of the chosen becomes saved then they are spiritually living to God's expectations (I John2:3) because they have been saved from Gods wrath, all their sins are forgiven and they have a new spirit or resurrected soul (Eze 11:19,36:27,Heb 8:10,10:16,Titus 3:5). However, while living on this earth they have a cursed physical body that still lusts after sin (Ro 8:10). In this way they are not meeting God's expectations. Paul describes this internal battle (Roman 7:25)

In Christ’s Service

God has chosen the ones who have chosen his Son.

Rom 9:3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.
Rom 9:4 They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises.
Rom 9:5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 9:6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,
Rom 9:7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named."
Rom 9:8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

The problem with that is that so many Palestinians want to kill the Jews.

With no animosity intended or implied I do not believe they want to kill the "Jews", they want revenge on the IDF for murdering their children---

You might remember that 6 million Jews were exterminated by Hitler during World War II. The Jews needed a safe place to live. It was decided that place would be Palestine. After all, the Lord gave that tiny little plot of land to the Jews as an everlasting inheritance long ago.

But the Palestinians, and their neighbors, tried to drive the Jews out. And you know the rest of the story.

The death of those Jews does not excuse the murder of children by IDF snipers. By ignoring the content of my post by inserting other atrocities may make you seel better but does nothing to address my post.

Here is something else to consider --
World Genocides
9,350,000 Jews by Germany
7,650,000 Polish Catholics by Germany
7,500,000 Ukrainians by USSR
3,000,000 Cambodians

1,500,000 Amenians were totally exterminated

I don't know the details of what is going on in Palestine, but I do think the Jews have the right to live there and defend themselves.
