We must know that in the English translations of the Bible this verse is translated incorrectly. Obviously, this was done consciously, following the tradition of exaltation of the Roman Empire, which they tried to expose as a guarantor of the true faith in Christ.

Therefore, we must understand: in a Jewish temple in any case no person can sit literally. In Thessalonians 2: 4 the word "naos" is used. This is not the whole temple complex, but the Sanctuary itself, where there is no place for the human throne.

Therefore, in fact, after the construction of the Third Temple, near this Temple, "the elect from the four winds" will gather, and in the opposition part of the Christian religion there will be a leader who many Christians will love, so this antichrist will take a place inside their hearts, instead of Jesus Christ, in the same "naos" of which the apostle Paul said that believers are the "temple" of God ("naos").

Why do you think the anti-Christ would be against a new temple being built... after all he is going to sit in that very temple and declare himself as God??

The mystery of iniquity is that all are sinners and in need of the gospel and the salvation which comes by and through and in CHRIST JESUS alone

Some know that and have repented and believed

Some haven’t

These look to profess their own self righteousness apart from the righteousness of GOD which is by and through faith in THE SAVIOR who is JESUS CHRIST

There are two churches sir

The outward structural church
And the inward true church/body/bride

GOD knows the difference between the two

AND....in every outward structural church there is a mixture of both...those who worship in spirit and in truth. And those who simply do lip service to THE NAME

Well no I disagree Paul was referring to the inner chamber of a temple.....ie holy place in the temple of god ..the final.Anti Christ will sit and establish himself as god of Israel and the world

While I think that is close... I think that the ultimate is Satan, himself, to appear and declare himself, god and demand the worship he has wanted from the beginning. It is the climax to the story, of the war in heaven... and its final conflict on earth. It will be the great separating of wheat and chaff, sheep and goats for ever.

People keep saying that like where do they get in scripture that Satan will become human or appear in human form?

If its a reference to the fall of Lucifer the supposed angel of light , its a poor translation of the original Hebrew word Heylel ....the future king of Babylon.. I don't believe Lucifer exist its A made up Latin name...Satan? yes ...he was in the garden and the accuser of job...accuser of the brethren

But Heylel is a future man who claims to be God ....no doubt when yahshua walked the earth some thought and some still believe today he was Heylel profecied by Isaiah....

The heavenly one where the war in heaven will be rage, the earthly one that is predicted to be built again in the last days, and our bodies which are the temple of God in which God's Holy Spirit is to dwell. Each in turn are place where Satan and Yeshua battle over. So I think there is an overlap of events and times and places where all three are simultaneously being fought over.

Ezekiel 28:12-17 confirms that Satan used to be one of those "covering cherubs".

Psalm 99:1 ...'The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.'

Revelation 20:11 ...'And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.'

What is the "temple" today?

Yes Judas or Judah was a prime example of the future son of perdition

Just like Satan used Judah to do his will ....Satan will use the final Anti Christ to do his will ....which is fight against yahshua to seek what rightfully belongs to yahshua ..

Its quite possible a son of Judah will play a role with the final antichrist..

I think all cherubs are covering cherubs guarding the things of Hashem

But Satan fell....why is he called king of tyre?..I don't know...

Today there is no temple ....but one day that will change and as antiochus violated the temple ...another will come to do the same thing....and he will set up an idol of himself and magically cause it to come to life like a golem and that is the sign ....the sign of great tribulation ...he will seek to destroy all the Israelites ....

Perhaps to prevent messiah from entering his kingdom...no subjects equals no kingdom and victory over Hashem will ....

Its Satan's hope to prevent the messiah from ruling the earth ...

Yes we are in agreement....but I wonder if paul is referring to the day of Yahavah that is prevented to be revealed in his time ...

that 2 things must take place before yahshua is revealed ....

That the day of the lord YHVH will not be revealed or come until there come a falling away and man of sin comes...

And something that hinders the Anti messiah revealing is taken out of the way..and I have.no idea what that is....some say its the rapture of the church ...I really don't know....

As for the strong delusion. ..I believe it will be for those who are perishing ....they believe this man whom Isaiah calls "Heylel " is the true promised Yahavah ....

2 Yahavah in the last days....one in heaven reigning down wrath before he returns....the true Yahavah

The other a false Yahavah ...a man (Heylel) king of Babylon oppressing the children of Israel ...claiming to be Yahavah

And the law will play a major role in those days .....

On one hand u have those that keep the commands but have the testimony of yahshua....they are being exterminated ....

The other hand you have those that keep the commandments but deny yahshua and will perish with this newly crowned Yahavah leading them against the true Yahavah yahshua ...

Basically its a war over the old and new covenant ....on one side you have adherents of old law ....on the other side you have the new covenant ....one will get the victory ....or perhaps its the adherents of a perversion of the new covenant seeking to rid the adherents of the old covenant ....

Those of the old covenant may be the ones being exterminated in those days...not really sure.
