Tech times needs to retract that story. I'm not claiming to understand what in tarnation these guys are talking about in their paper but I can glean out that they are not saying a darn thing about all species occurring simultaneously.

I fact they don't even hypothesize that from their work.

Nicole Arce should be embarrassed by this article.

This is a good example of why one should never blindly trust a citation without examining the work being cited.

Interesting. It says nothing I can find about a whole bunch of speciation all at the same time. It does say that the Y chromosome data accords with the 'barcode' data to a period between 100,000 and 200,000 years ago where there was a choke point in the human population and that diversity in codons within the human population originates then. But that is mere corroboration of a known conclusion. I'm not sure where the idea came from that this happened in a bunch of species at the same time. There is 'punctuated equilibrium' but I see no basis in this paper itself for them concluding a multi-species punctuation. Possible, but not what the paper is saying. At least that I can see.

Yeah, well, maybe but you'll never prove that using this paper because the headline and the papers study and conclusion are incongruent with each other.

The paper is not claiming what the headlines says it is
