What if we are NOT on the verge of the Apocalypse?

I think the one way that life is worse is that one third of each generation is murdered,usually legally, by abortion.

Whether we believe the Apocalypse is coming or not we will end up being laid under the soil for last.


But while we are living God has something to say :
Romans 3:11 There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12All have turned away; they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.

And be4 the apocalypse destroy mankind NOBODY SEEKS GOD AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH :
Matt 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And KNEW NOT until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Revelation 2:24 shows that God does not wish to burden those who have not known the so-called deep things of Satan.

All I will say is that the measurements are not considering the likes of the ongoing and long-term problems caused by pollution (eg: Fukushima radiation, Oceanic plastic, toxin in food, water and soil), increased mental illness, less knowledge of love, increased unrighteousness, less cohesiveness of family and consequent loss of joy in society (people used to whistle at work and wave to strangers, now they wear headphones), sea gulls used to live at seas and garbage dumps, now they live in cities and are even forced to scavenge for worms on farms because there are no shellfish left on the beaches.

But even so, we are richer in many ways, as the statistics you produced indicate that the value of human life has led to increased attention toward matters of poverty and discriminatory violence, technology has provided more resilience to the risks of travel and catastrophe, and faster communications that increase effectiveness of detecting and averting crime/corruption etc. Many seals continue to be broken on scripture, so that the body of Christ continues to break deceptions and increase in wisdom.

So it is at the present stage still not apparent whether the world can be redeemed from it's course of destruction (owed to the aforementioned increases of long-term, irreversible risk are unsustainable), but it is also too soon to write it off. Plus, the prophecy of the apocalyptic visions in John do not necessarily have to be believed according to how the devil would like us all to see it (antichrist is not even mentioned in Revelation, only in 1 John - describing a spirit in the singular form and the deceived false Christians in the plural form). Majority of explanations of the Revelation apocalypse have originated from false teachers that represent the antichrist, and through adoption of folklore without scrutinising the source.

Then the whole "rapture" or "left behind" industry would collapse and money could no longer be made on scaring people into doing what some want them to do.

As for me, I have heard this "he is coming back soon" theology for decades and have found the understanding that the world is getting better (if you study history it certainly is) and that Matthew 24 refered to the fall of Jerusalem (which was sooner after the writing than today and matches the real events) to be the best fit. That is what I have come to believe. The spread of Christianity in the non-western world is proceeding at a phenomenal rate. Even in the west, most of us live knowing we will not see war on our shores, nor will our children. For Europe, this is very unusual.

Plastic in the oceans, unstable climate, rocketing levels of STDs and Obesity-related illness, normalising of antenatal infanticide, marriage breakdown, high levels of mental illness, normalising of anti-science delusions like trans, depletion of topsoil and species, sky-rocketing national and personal debt...

We are a prodigal generation living on the savings accumulated by previous generations.

I only watched the first few minutes of that video before I became hysterical and turned him off.
Only from what I saw he was looking at today versus yesterday and showing certain numbers to prove it. Sorry I didn't look at the entire video but can anyone tell me what his thoughts were on Iran and North Korea? ...I'm only guessing the he may have them down as becoming peace loving nations who smoke pot and listen to John Lennon songs.

Like he said, things are getting better. He obviously believes that birds dying because of plastic in the ocean is better; unstable climate is better; rocketing levels of STDs is better; people getting fat and ill is better; murdered babies in the womb is better; marriage breakdown is better; mental illness increasing is better; skyrocketing debt is better; suicide increasing is better; homosexual ruling societies is better; pollies who lie through their teeth is better; cost of homes out of reach is better; crime on the increase is better; one meal a day (if you are lucky) is better; no clean drinking water is better; muslims murdering innocents is better; 40 wars happening now is better; lies being called truth is better; christians being persecuted or killed for being christians is better.

If I had time I could add another 1,000 to the list.

The word used today is narcissist , and it is getting worse. Bet the guy in the video didn't mention this.

He said if you hear of wars .....or even rumors of wars, the time is not yet. So when the time is right there won't even be rumors of wars. That sounds right because it's when people are materially satisfied they see no reason for a God and ...salvation? from what? I think this will be the universal test of faith. this will be the 'status' quo that gets set in stone and so fit to judge.. That's when it will get ugly.

In the UK its been fairly stable at just over 200,000 a year since 2004. Before that it was around 190,000 a year since 1988. And before that it was about 150,000 ten years earlier in 1978, and 25,000 back in 1968.
