"Repent" means "turn away from" sin. If he doesn't turn away from sin, he has not sincerely repented.

Addiction is rooted in sin, true. I don't think it's "willful" sin, though, since again I'm defining "willful" as "I know it's a sin but I don't care." Addiction is more of an "I know it's a sin, but God help me, I can't stop."sin is sin! Addiction is not an exception! What do you mean by 'can't' I don't believe there is any scripture for those who 'can't' quit sinning, in the circle of Christians.
If a Christian born again Christian repents, but continually continues to willfully sin, is their salvation or eternal security at risk?
God has already 'helped' by giving His Son to die on the Cross for that particular addictive willful sin not so we continue in it, but that we be free from it. It is up to us to cut off or pluck out so to speak what it is that causes us to sin. He gives us the power to overcome, as we take the steps to be rid of it.Addiction is rooted in sin, true. I could be wrong about that. YMMV.
If you meet someone with an addiction, heal them in Jesus name. What about people with sinful addictions and can't overcome them? I think if they are believing on Christ for salvation they are saved.

I love when healing happens but what does one do when it doesn't occur? I just feel for those people
Watch the whole video. I've been Spirit-filled for 41 years and can hear God's voice and have seen miracles, but healing was always where I was lacking.
But, I just keep watching Sid's Roth's program and I just do what they do now. I'm learning. Look at the new post I just made with this same url and read about my neighbor's dog, Penny.

What then do you mean by "repent"???
BTW - pretty much all sin is "willful" according to 1 Corinthians 10

I'm afraid that Jesus spoke these words regarding serving 2 masters, you will love the one and hate the other, when He spoke regarding loving God or money. From what I notice people will relapse and are not perfect and fall back into the addiction. What if someone who is saved becomes addicted to heroin and doesn't be sober perfectly? They just go to hell?

The one who is addicted to heroin, is serving another god, I'm afraid.

I see what you mean, I am more talking about one who is addicted and then comes to Christ helpless and trusting in Him for salvation and eternal life. When a 'believer' has an addiction, something is terribly wrong. That's why I wonder what people that read Romans 7 and think it's a norm for a believer to experience that, claiming it's the experience of Paul as at when he was writing the letter. Rom 7 is talking about a person having an addiction, Rom 8 is the freedom Christ gives to men both in addiction and not..
God bless.
