Why are fundamentalist Christians so hated by most people?

Seriously? You tell people they are going to hell and their life style is condemned and then wonder why they don't like you?

Not saying you are doing anything wrong, but grow up and accept the consequences. You will not be invited to the parties..ok?

I'm 52 years old today I'm past caring about what people think about me if they hear the Word of Jesus and I'm hitting their nerves the wrong way when the Truth hits them too bad, I may scathe them with the fire but I also teach they can come to Jesus and be saved.

They are not held in very high esteem because they come across as obscurantist. They seem to spend most of their time peddling fallacious arguments in an attempt to rubbish whatever scientific theories they find inconvenient. Seldom is any positive statement heard out of them.

Leslie this forum is the fundamentalist fellowship forum. Like the Catholic OBOB others are welcome but adhere to the forum rules.

Well, I thought the word “hate” was maybe a bit strong, but if somebody asks that question, they can hardly complain if somebody answers it.

As THE LORD CHRIST , who warned much , Said marvel not IF the World hates you .
Our mission is , and we must accept it , to go out go out and preach the gospel
And as even peter once said save yourselves from this untoward generation .
If the world loves a person then they are in trouble .
For the world loves its own . Not those of Christ .
REJOICE when men shall hate you , revile you , persecute you for His Name sake .
And let none ever once change doctrine , or the gospel conforming it to what the world
would rather hear . Preach sound doctrine , the pure gospel , which
will transform those who come . The fundamental , JESUS only , who stick with the biblical
pattern only , will be hated . But if we conform anything to suit the ear of the hearer
then KNOW and understand that yes , your churches will swell in number
but those fish are the fish which get cast out , not put in good vessels .
And those who do this , will be held accountable for their blood as well.

He makes a point I never bring science into any kind of work I do on behalf of God I have the Bible and if almighty God via the Holy Ghost can't get them saved they are likely beyond redemption, the Bible is a book of His Wonders and clearly beyond mundane science. We can speculate on things that is different than trying to use science to convince people of Biblical things which I agree can't be done so why try?
