Hard to believe that the thought of that is real. Of course self-deception seems to be winning out in the world with many people.

Sometimes I wonder if God only made our DNA to last so long and we might be coming towards the end?

Seems there are new genetic problems popping up every day. Some physical some mental and some spiritual.

I understand your beliefs regarding such things. Just merely throwing it out there that this type of discussion is nothing new.

I presume it will be a similar line of thought to vegetarians and Quorn, though the argument about milk is, I believe, peculiar to Judaism.

Speak only for yourself, Abbalove. There are some of us who see those same traditions as coming from God and support obedience of them.

Only Judaism? There are just as many in Christianity - it is filled with outwardly pious men (and women) misleading millions in their faith, and has been so for the past two millennia. Why do you think MJism has arisen, if not to bring people back to the truth of the one true living G_d?

This is part of the falling away. The lines of demarcation will continue to grow as G-d calls to HIS people "Come out of her my people"

Believers will be awoken and given a choice. Chose now whom you will serve. All of these things must come to pass.

We are on the eve of the end. The choice that will be given is a call... G-d is calling his children OUT to be a separate people, a peculiar nation. As this process continues it will be more and more difficult to ignore the revelation of truth that is occurring.

MJ has innumerable traditions. Reading from Torah SCROLLS. Saying kiddush. Lighting Shabbat candles. Celebrating Chanukah. Singing in Hebrew. Etc.

However, I don't think this was a good example of "falling standards". As I mentioned earlier, these discussions were being held in Talmudic times. The standards are not falling, things are being interpreted as new information evolves. That is what is so great about the rabbinic system-instead of everyone scratching their heads on what to do when something new arises, a halachic decision is rendered. So far as I know, nothing has yet been decided regarding "pseudo meat" and what one rabbi says doesn't matter.
