The attacks on law enforcement doing their job is becoming ridiculous and hilarious. When law enforcement is murdering civilians, that's okay. When law enforcement is doing its job, "Oh noes! Fire them all!"

Absolutely shameful that this political organization did not follow through on the Florida shooter even when tipped off but had plenty of time for the witch hunt on Trump.
Funny how some people LOVE the cops once they become political....

It's amazing how law enforcement not appropriately doing their job is only sore spot for the GOP'ers in certain select circumstances.
For example, when cops are engaging in provable misconduct, the GOP will fly a "blue live matter" flag. Yet, because an understaffed and underfunded entity (who just happens to have ruffled the feathers of their Lord and Savior, Donald Trump) acts in a way that they feel is inappropriate, and it's time to "fire them all".
I bet if a black activist group started creating public awareness about racial-based misconduct by the FBI, these same people would change their tune and start tripping over themselves to defend the FBI and accuse anyone who didn't of being unpatriotic traitors.
It would seem their stances on various entities are reactionary and confrontational in nature...they simply wait and see which side the liberals are on, and then just find a way to justify taking the opposite side.

It's posts like this that convince me the Mueller investigation and its spin-offs will eventually be forced to clean house on both sides of the aisle.
Both sides are well-aware of massive corruption on both sides of the aisle. Neither side wants to clean house on its own ... but neither side can stop themselves from attacking the other. Oh well.

It's amazing how fast the POTUS, Judge Judy and all those making accusations are so quick to make blatant political attacks on the FBI when an investigation into it failures in Florida has just begun.
It seems some wish to live in a country where every law enforcement agency is beholden to the political party in power.

Can someone enlighten me as to when the FBI became responsible for local law enforcement? 
Is the FBI now empowered to investigate anyone who might do any bad things?

They were given a shaky tip, they receive a lot of them. As the investigation arm of the DOJ they are indeed allowed to investigate tips sent to them.
The post on social media was reported to them and they interviewed the person who made the report but could not identify the person who made the post, which if they had, and had more information about it they would have alerted local law enforcement.
This does not make them responcable for local law enforcement.
Do we want a national investigation team capable of instantly identifying everyone and everything on social media at any time?

Not to mention cost. If the FBI acted on only 10% of tips or 10% of the most credible tips, they would run through money like water and turn the country into a police state.
So, blaming them for the school shooting because they don't and can't run down every tip is asinine.

If I understand correctly, there are problems between the two agencies.

We should not equivocate all "bad" things, I mean there is a world of difference between jay walking and threatening mass school shootings.

So certain members of the FBI were too busy bleach biting hard drives, smashing cell phones, trying to make five months of communication disappear, extra marital affairs, having "secret society" meetings, playing party politics, and worrying about their involvement in involvement in investigations with POTUS and loosing their positions to be overly concerned with local investigations.
