Zechariah 13:2 .... I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.
False prophets should be wipe off from among the people. God wants to clean the land from the false prophets and unclean spirit. Parents should not let parental affection interfere, and must be the first to thrust him through. False prophets are deceiving people shamelessly again and again for their fame and fortune. As much as parents love their children, they must love and honour God more.
Jer 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied
Deut 18:22 22"When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Jer 14:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
Deut 18:20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death."
Deut 13:5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death ....
Lamentations 2:14
Your prophets have seen for you False and foolish visions; And they have not exposed your iniquity So as to restore you from captivity, But they have seen for you false and misleading oracles.
Jeremiah 29:8
