Why would it matter if the word hell or the word Gehenna is used? Gehenna was the place of child sacrifice to Molech, which Josiah defiled, and made it a dung and garbage heap, which burned with continual fire, and always had worms and maggots in it, eating the refuse. So, hell. The word "Hell" is not in the original scriptures. The words "grave" and "Gehenna" are given the interpretation of "Hell." The word "lightning" is a parable for judgment. The word "Satan" is also used for different persons and is a parable.
You need to do a more in-depth study of the scriptures.
Gehenna: Mentioned twelve or thirteen times in the bible. Gehenna: Referring to the Valley of Hinnom, or Gehenna which is the city dump outside the walls of Jerusalem. Why would it matter if the word hell or the word Gehenna is used? Gehenna was the place of child sacrifice to Molech, which Josiah defiled, and made it a dung and garbage heap, which burned with continual fire, and always had worms and maggots in it, eating the refuse. So, hell.
Jesus (Yahshua) Himself said that He saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning. whether you want to make lightning a parable for judgment or not, he fell from Heaven (which would be a judgment in itself, wouldn't it?).
Satan simply means "adversary". Shaitan could possibly be used for various adversaries. However, in Revelation, the name Satan is attached to a specific entity.
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 20:2
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
So Satan is, in Scripture, a specific entity (the dragon, the Devil), who fell from Heaven (as Jesus beheld), and he will be cast into the lake of fire, along with death and hell (the grave and Gehenna).
As I was saying... (See OP)
According to Jesus (Yahshua) it was. That's all the evidence I need. It doesn't really matter what the archaeologists have found or not found. Most scientists still can't find evidence that God created the universe. Their unbelief doesn't affect my belief.According to Archaeologist, there is no evidence to support that Gehenna was a place for burning garbage. There were however lots of Potsherds found.

Ok? So that's where Satan's earthly headquarters were. There are spiritual princes over every city and region, and even nations.Revelation 2:13
I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.
When John wrote the book of Revelation Pergamum was part of the Roman impire.
Pergamum (pûr'gəməm), ancient city of NW Asia Minor, in Mysia (modern Turkey), in the fertile valley of the Caicus. It became important c.300 B.C., after the breakup of the Macedonian empire, when a Greek family (the Attalids) established a brilliant center of Hellenistic civilization. The kingdom achieved major importance under Attalus I (d. 197 B.C.), Eumenes II (d. 160 or 159), and Attalus II (d. 138). These kings followed a pro-Roman policy through fear of the imperialism of Philip V of Macedon and of Antiochus III of Syria. The independence of Pergamum ended dramatically when Attalus III (d.133) bequeathed the kingdom to the Roman people.
Yeah. There is both biblical and secular archaeology. All I am saying is that just because there may not have been found evidence for something, that doesn't mean it wasn't true. Scripture records when Josiah defiled it. And it also says that God Himself talked about it where the worm doesn't die, and fire isn't quenched, which is what Jesus was quoting from. So both Christ and the Father spoke these things of Gehenna. So again, it doesn't matter to me even if the archaeologist who couldn't find the evidence was saint Paul himself, it's still true.Have you never heard of Biblical Archaeology?
Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Isaiah 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how art thou cut down to the ground,
which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart,
I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation,
in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,
to the sides of the pit.
(But no, he's not in hell as yet. That's true.)
The Bible told us where Eden was. It pretty much went out of the way to do so.Heaven/paradise/garden of Eden,
One and same?
I don't know how we got onto all of these tangential conversations in this thread. The point of the thread is that the devil wants everyone to stay away from Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ is the only Redeemer of our souls. The devil can't and won't be redeemed, so he doesn't want us to be redeemed either.
That's why he has come up with so many false religions, even many false versions of Christianity, to lead people astray from the truth.
Jesus is the Truth, the Life, and the only Way to the Father.
Of course, Satan’s biggest lie is that he does not exist....his original lie in the garden of Eden still works today.....if you know right from wrong you will be like God!
Wow that sounds like it came out of the mouth of the devil himself. Is that a lie?
Strange how God said the same thing.
That is why they were not to eat from the forbidden fruit.
Is that tree still there btw?
And the tree of life,
yeah, it is guarded by a revolving sword
so that we don,t stretch out our hand and pluck from it,
and so live forever.
So watch out for anyone who claims to be a deity and will give you everlasting life,
just as long as you believe in him.

Genesis 3:1-5
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Your luciferian/satanic doctrines have been exposed, and you have proven my point. You, like the devil, want to steer people away from Jesus Christ, Son of the Most High God, the only Redeemer of man's soul.
Yeah, I know, it just does not go away,
"sons of the devil."
Antisemitism,
two attacks on small Jewish
communities last weekend,
one in Malmö and one in Göteborg,
Nothing new of course,
What is more dangerous is that not many care,
as long as they have petrol for their cars a flat screen TV and of course the magical I-Phone,
most people could not care a less.
