Jesus and God are One....
Correct. I believe it was Christ as well.
Christ appeared before the New Testament. Are there any other verses in the old testament that speak of Christ appearing? Walking with or talking to man? After Adam and Eve sinned was it Christ that sent them out of the garden? Was it Christ that walked with them before they sinned?

I wonder what enochs life was like to make God take him out of the world like that... The Book of Enoch is quite an interesting read. Christ existed before the foundation of the world so it might of been. The youth pastor from my home church in my home town really thinks it was Christ that Adam heard ''walking in the garden'' in Genesis

The Angel of the Lord/God in passages like Genesis 16, 22, Exodus 3, etc, where the "Angel" identifies Himself as God, and not someone speaking on behalf of God, is none other than Jesus Christ, Who in Malachi 3:1 is called "The Lord" and "the Messenger (Angel, same Hebrew word) of the Covenant", Who is said to Come after John the Baptist. Malachi 4:5-6, with Luke 1:17-18, again show that Jesus Christ is meant, "Yahweh" before Whom John the Baptist went. (see also Matthew 3:3, 11:10, Mark 1:1-3, etc)

I agree. However, I wonder then who it was on Mt. Sinai? Moses had to be sheltered in the rock and only look at God's back. No one can see God's face and live. So in what form did God show Himself then? When Christ came in the OT, He was the Angel of the Lord, but you could look at Him, even wrestle with Him, and not die.

Jesus Christ appeared in the Old Testament in some form, but was also Almighty God at the same time.

Yea it's all very interesting. Was it Christ that showed as the ''4th person'' with Daniel and his friends in the furnace? Was that really Jesus that Jacob wrestled with? Or were they just angels?

As for the 4th person with Daniel's friends in the furnace, and the being that Jacob wrestled with, I personally believe they were both Christ. Jacob didn't wrestle with mere angels, because Jacob says it was God. "So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”

Yes, it is just the question of why only on Mt. Sinai could His face not be seen?

Genesis 5:24
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Was the Image of God, Enoch walked with, Christ?

Are you assuming that God "visibly" walked with Enoch?

Yes, that's what we are talking about. Jesus appeared many times as theophanies in the OT.

The book of enoch is pseudepigraphical = spurious writing, especially writings falsely attributed to biblical characters or times.

It is my belief that Enoch was more than just spiritually walking with God.
That is my opinion.

Would you care to elaborate on what you are basing your opinion on?

Thank you kindly.

Yes, that's what we are talking about. Jesus appeared many times as theophanies in the OT.

This verse comes to mind regarding "walking with God":

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" ~Micah 6:8

Is this what you are referring to?

The Word walked and the implication that Enoch was a friend of God ,as though their was dialogue in these walks.

Please post the Bible verses you are basing this on.

Thank you kindly.
