Peace to those who may read.
The people have BECOME without form (without His righteousness) and void (without understanding) as all have turned away.
Yet, we are to be REGENERATED…recreated...by the washing of REGENERATION and the RENEWING of the Holy Spirit.
Titus 3:1-9 KJV
(1) Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
(2) To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
We have been without form : sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another
(3) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
But after that, the kindness and love of God our Savior appears toward man: “let there be light”.
(4) But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
(5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
(6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
(7) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
We are to be careful to maintain good works at the hearing of His voice in the Spirit. Good works completes our faith. Faith without good works is dead.
(8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
(9) But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
The Lord sends His people out to speak His words to our ears and we are to give ear…giving heed on how we hear. He that will hear what the Spirit is saying through His servants whom He sends out shall hear Him and will enter in to greater understanding.
Luke 10:16-18 KJV
(16) He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
(17) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
(18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
We must be found honoring the Son especially at the hearing of His voice. He that will hear His word and believe on Him that sent the Son has everlasting life….in this world (and not after we “die and go to heaven”). This is a “here-and –now thing” and not a hereafter. His eternal life is now as we who believe have everlasting life…present tense. Jesus is alive now. He is risen now…and so we are to arise to experience His life now even as He is alive.
John 5:23-30 KJV
(23) That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
The “dead”….who are dead in sins and trespasses in the denominations of men…shall HEAR the voice of the Son of God and they that HEAR shall live…now. True hearing is DOING good towards the hearing of His voice.
(25) Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
(26) For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
(27) And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Some shall hear His voice and come forth and do good ...producing fruits of righteousness....towards what they hear. They shall come forth and be found doing good and shall stand up to having His everlasting life. True hearing is DOING His Word…His Saying: to have love for one another. We cross from death unto life by the love shown towards those brothers whom He sends out to speak His words to our ears. We are to remember to let brotherly love continue and entertain "strangers" and their words....the "angels" of the Lord.
Others shall not hear (ever hearing and yet not believe) and shall stand up to do evil against what they hear and will be judged for their hard speeches against His voice.
They will not agree with what is being said as it does not conform to the word of men as preached in the churches of carnal men whose understanding has been darkened by the “god of this age”…. which is their own belly of which they serve in order to feed. They are minding the earthly things when deceptively handling the Word of God: what to eat, drink and what to wear.
(28) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
(29) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
As He HEARS our responses to His words, He judges. By our own words shall we be justified or condemned in the judgment.
(30) I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
A wise man will HEAR and will increase learning. A man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Those who will hear and believe and DO His will (have love for those “strangers” sent out by Him to speak His words in the Spirit) will enter into His understanding. More shall be given them as they shall understand a proverb and the interpretation. They shall understand the words of the wise and their dark sayings as the Lord opens up the Scriptures to our ears and minds. The only way to enter in is to become like a “little child”…with meekness. Blessed are the meek.
Proverbs 1:5-6 KJV
(5) A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
(6) To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
Jesus comes to teach us. If any man WILL DO HIS WILL, he shall know of the teaching (doctrine) whether it be of God or whether He speaks of Himself. We are to be found willing to DO His will so that we may enter in to His understanding. We are to will to do His will so that we may understand. The wicked shall not understand as they seek their own vain glory when they speak evil of another for what he preaches.
John 7:14-18 KJV
(14) Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
(15) And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
(16) Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
(17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
(18) He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
By His KNOWLEDGE shall the righteous servant justify many.
Isaiah 53:11 KJV
(11) He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
The Lord comes to “open His mouth” and teach us as He opens up the Scriptures to our understanding.
Matthew 5:1-12 KJV
(1) And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
(2) And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit….that is, poor in breath…as they shall be found of Him using few words…being of “little strength” against what they hear His voice teaching.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. The church in “Philadelphia” was found with “little strength” towards the “open door”…the open mouth that speaks His words. Those who are found “poor in breath” towards His teaching shall enter in to understand….theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(3) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(4) Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek….
(5) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled with the bread of heaven. They shall enter in to understand. The wicked shall go “hungry”
(6) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
(7) Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
(8) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Those who are found to be peacemakers (the “son of peace”) shall be called the sons (children = sons) of God.
(9) Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Those who will hear and not believe and will be found not doing His will shall persecute those who do hear and believe. Those who are born after the flesh will persecute those born after the Spirit. The enemies will be of our own household…our own church families shall persecute us and cast out our names as evil….as “evil doers”.
(10) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(11) Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
(12) Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Of His own will does He beget us with the Word of Truth…and we are to take heed on how we hear: being swift to HEAR and being slow to speak (poor in spirit…poor in breath) and slow to wrath.
James 1:17-20 KJV
(17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
The wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.
(20) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
(21) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
We are to be found DOERS of the Word…the Saying: love one another…and not hearers only. A true hearer is a DOER of the Word…a “doer of the work”.
(22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
(23) For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
(24) For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
(25) But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
If a man does not bridle His tongue towards what he hears (the Word of Truth), then that man’s religion is vain…empty. It is not profitable and he will not enter in to understand. The word heard does not profit those who are not being mixed with faith in those who hear.
We are to fear God and keep His commandments so that we may enter in to know the mysteries of the kingdom
(26) If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The visible things were created and represent His eternal power….His invisible qualities are understood by what we clearly see with our literal eyes.
Genesis 1:1 KJV
(1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Romans 1:
(20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Yet, the earth BECAME without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
How so? Men became vain in their imaginations (their reasoning, discussions, etc). Their foolish heart was darkened as we all have turned away. There is none that is righteous (no, not one) as all have turned aside after his own way. Professing themselves wise (seeking after their own vain glory as they speak evil of another in their judgment of them), they became fools. There is no righteousness….there is no understanding as the earth became without form and void.
Genesis 1:2-3 KJV
(2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
But God regenerates man in His abundant mercy, goodness, kindness that He shows towards us.
The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters as He sends His servants out to speak as they are moved by the Spirit in His name and the name of the Son. He sends the Son to give us an understanding so that we may know Him who is true.
(3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
The earth BECAME without form and void as men BECAME vain in their imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:
(21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
But the merciful God commands the light to shine in our darkened hearts to give the light of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ..
2 Corinthians 4:5-6 KJV
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
This light is in our very own hearts and is the witness of God of His Son whom we hear speaking through those men who speak as they are moved by the Holy Spirit. We receive the witness of men as we hear them speak the words of the Spirit but the witness of God within our very own hearts is greater. We are to take HEED on how we hear as we witness the light that arises within our own hearts when we hear His voice.
2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Which brings us to Genesis 1: 6-8.
The “firmament” ….the “expanse” …refers to our expanded HEARING. Faith comes by HEARING, and hearing by the word of God: “And God SAID….”.
He that has ears, let him hear….”let there be an expanse…”
The Hebrew word for “firmament” is “raqiya” meaning “to beat or spread out”. We are to expand our hearing as we hear His voice speaking to us. The only way to expand our hearing is to be humbled as only by being as a little child shall we enter in to understand. We are to be swift to hear and slow to speak and slow to wrath.
Genesis 1:6-8 KJV
(6) And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Some will hear and some will not…and there will be a division of believers and unbelievers over what we hear: the Word of God spoken in truth and sincerity through the Spirit whom the Lord sends. Some shall be found from above while some are from below.
The “waters” are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues (Revelation 17:15).
(7) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
(8) And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
We are to “bow down” our ear….which means to “stretch out” our ear and hear the words of the wise and apply our heart unto His knowledge that we hear. Even the Hebrew word for “ear” (ozen) means “broadness” or to “expand”.
Proverbs 22:17 KJV
(17) Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
If we receive His words and DO His commandments so that we incline our ear unto wisdom and apply our heart to understanding…..
Proverbs 2:1-6 KJV
(1) My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
(2) So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
(3) Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
(4) If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
….we shall then understand the fear of the LORD and find the KNOWLEDGE of God.
(5) Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
He gives us wisdom. Out of His mouth comes KNOWLEDGE and understanding.
(6) For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
But when He does, we must not “unbraid” what we hear. To “unbraid” is to defame…to rail at…what we hear. If we “unbraid not”, then it shall be given to us. But if we waver in faith, then we can not enter in to understand. Even what was sown in the heart shall be taken away.
James 1:5-8 KJV
(5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
(6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
(7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
(8) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
“Let there be an expanse” of hearing: He that hears, let him hear what men who are moved by the Spirit are speaking. Let his hearing be expanded by DOING His will.
Ezekiel 3:27 KJV
(27) But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
How shall we hear without a preacher who is truly SENT by Him…coming in His authority…His name? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 10:14-18 KJV
(14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
(15) And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
(16) But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
(17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(18) But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
We are to hear His voice from heaven and do good works towards Him. Good works COMPLETES our faith. Faith WITHOUT good works is dead.
James 2:17-26 KJV
(17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
some will say that they have a name for being alive...yet are dead without good works towards what we hear the Spirit saying to our hearing ears.
(18) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
(19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
(20) But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
(21) Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
(22) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
(23) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
(24) Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
(25) Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Faith without good works is a "dead" church.
(26) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The church is “Sardis”….meaning “red ones”…shows us a church without good works in the hearing of the Spirit. He that has ears, let him hear…..let there be an “expanse”.
True hearing is DOING His will towards what we hear. The church in Sardis has a name that they live (I have FAITH) but is DEAD as they have no accompanying good works to complete their faith. They shall be “red” in wrath towards what they hear and will speak evil. Their works are not found to be “perfect”…that is , complete…before God as they will be full of wrath at what they hear the Spirit saying.
Revelation 3:1-6 KJV
(1) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
"Be watchful"...that is, AWAKE to His righteousness and put on Christ Jesus and not fulfill the works of the flesh by being angry and speak out of our bitter envy and strife in our hearts. We must overcome our wrath.
(2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
We are to “awake” out of our sleep and remember to let brotherly love continue. Blessed are those servants whom He finds “awaking” out of their sleep and putting on His righteousness (white garments) even in the second or third watch….that is, after having been warned 2 or 3 times. To walk with Him in "white" (light) is to hear His voice and respond with good works which completes our faith before Him.
(3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
(4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
We must overcome our wrath and be found of Him walking in love….being clothed in white raiment.
(5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
(6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
To be continued…
The people have BECOME without form (without His righteousness) and void (without understanding) as all have turned away.
Yet, we are to be REGENERATED…recreated...by the washing of REGENERATION and the RENEWING of the Holy Spirit.

(1) My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
(2) So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
(3) Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
(4) If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
