Images are indeed prohibited in Scripture. Making the cross into an ornament has nothing to recommend it either. Hanging ornaments in vehicles is simply superstition. We are commanded to worship "in spirit and in truth". There is nothing whatsoever in Scripture to suggest that Christians should have any such things.

Not only does scripture not suggest having such things it prohibits them.

Well, "in spirit and in truth" is about one's mindset, not about the surroundings, and I'd have to question the claim that a cross on the rear view mirror is "superstition." If so, what exactly is the superstition? I'd say that it's more a reminder or a demonstration of one's faith. I don't personally care for this kind of thing, but I can't automatically accuse the user of superstition.

I've been Catholic for about 2 years. I was Anglican for about 7 before that. Before that I was non-denominational Charismatic.

We never really had an overt problem with crucifixes. For some of us there may have been a slight discomfort, but I don't think that was based on any real theological objection. It was more an association either of being too Roman, or too traditional, or in some cases being too gruesome. Some would see it as focusing too much on the depressing suffering stuff and not on the joyful resurrection side.

I'm a Baptist, but I have no issue with using the Crucifix in church. Baptists are congregational, meaning that the local church is autonomous in both doctrine and practice, so there are Baptist churches out there that use the Crucifix, but it is uncommon.

My church has a stained glass image of the Crucifix. I think the primary reason why we usually do not use is because "It's too Catholic." I can't speak for the other denominations though.

The Bible says God has an issue with the crucifix, how does that work?

Where does it say that?
Exodus 20: 3-4

3[bless and do not curse]Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4[bless and do not curse]Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Can you post the verses that say that?

Exodus 20: 3-4

3[bless and do not curse]Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4[bless and do not curse]Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

if God does not like images at all

why did He command that two statues of Cherubim be placed on top of the Ark of the Covenant?
or all the images used in the Temple that Solomon made?

The reasons for those images were specific to the temple, God has commanded images to be made for specific purposes such as the serpent on a staff in the wilderness. If you think God should not have done this you should probably take it up with him.

By quoting that commandment you are assuming, of course, that Catholics are worshiping the crucifixes. I'm not certain that has been proved. Could you provide evidence that they are worshiping the crucifix? Thanks.

well God commanded the images on the Ark and the Bronze Serpent

but I am not sure that God gave specific commands about the Temple, just that Solomon built it and God was pleased with it

it seems that King Solomon has more freedom then those who are alive in Christ
well atleast according to some people

You are free to do anything, does not mean God is pleased or that it is Biblical.

The issue isn't images as such, it's the use of images to represent God.

using images to represent the invisible God is clearly prohibited in the Old Testament

but with the coming of Jesus Christ, who is God and Man, He is very visible

These are very solid sounding excuses for.denying the Bible says what it says. We can all rationalize, I do it everyday.

the Bible does say what it says
but realizing that the Incarnation changes some things is not denying the truth of the Bible

at the time it was written, Numbers 23:19 was literally true
and the meaning of that verse is still true, but some of the particulars are not

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
