I just heard about this on the radio today, searched for it on-line and found this on youtube. Go to youtube, put "christ sighting death valley" and you will see what I mean by a miracle!

Why is it that anytime someone has a "sighting" of something (be it bigfoot, Jesus, Elvis, Aliens, etc...) nobody ever seems to have quality recording equipment with them?, it's always these grainy ambiguous images.
Reminds me of the "Ghost Hunters"...everyone has access to smart phones these days (which record higher quality audio and video), yet anytime they provide "proof", it's either a grainy video or an audio recording that sounds like a cassette with worn out tape.
As far as this video goes, if there was even a remote possibility that something miraculous happened, it would've gotten a lot more traction than just a youtube video with 31 views.
...and why is it that when every one sees Jesus, they see the white version of Jesus that is commonly depicted in American art (you know, the version that looks a bit like Barry Gibb)...people do realize that if Jesus did exist in the place where the bible claims he existed, he'd look like a middle easterner right?

People will tell you, 'There he is!' or 'Here he is!' Do not go running off after them.
and Matthew 24:23
At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
You will know when He returns in fact everyone will know.
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Don't chase after God in place people tell you He can be found. For God is ever present. Omnipresent.

I do not understand why people still do this after Jesus' warning in the scriptures regarding this.... Do people read the bible properly these days? Take Jesus' words to heart and understand or are they really so easily deceived? It's really sad...

...it's also fair to note that if that were Jesus in the video, that would mean that Jesus just disproved bible...it clearly states certain things that will take place upon his 2nd arrival, making a cameo appearance for one person in the desert and then leaving immediately wasn't on that list.

Years ago I was talking about this kind of stuff with my wife. I think specifically some UFO stuff and she pointed out UFO sightings are all but unknown in Germany (she is German) because there is almost always another village on the other side of the hill so any mysterious lights on the horizon would be right over some other town. The other side is there are many homes older than the United States that have been in one family that whole time. Homes where the history is known and the floorboards creak. There are lots of ghost sightings in Germany.

It's been theorized that some people are particularly susceptible to believing supernatural, or other-wordly explanations for unusual events--the so called Fantasy Prone Personality. They may have certain common traits, like having very vivid memories, spending more than average time daydreaming, and an ability to experience daydreams as real. It's thought that these are the folks who aren't deliberate hoaxers, but really, truly believe they've been abducted by aliens. It's controversial, though, whether this is an actual and unique pyschological entity or a fantasy of the original authors.
I once had a client, who in all seriousness, told me her house was haunted because the toilet was flushing by itself. I could tell she honestly believed it. As respectfully as I could, I told her I was pretty sure that her toilet needed a new flapper, not an exorcist.

I think Jesus has got better things to do than waving his arms around in Death Valley in the middle of the night for one person to see and badly record.

Don't be too harsh on them. In the world today where turmoils and conflicts are a norm (at least that's what the media keeps portraying) people want to find some form of comfort. To us Christians what is more comforting than the second Coming? This expectation can sometimes blind us to the truth.

Even before I get to any scriptual reflections on this, I can't get past the fact that the camera is shaking a lot, as is the road / environment, but the 'figure' is absolutely level & still.
