See my tread, "Lion's whelp" on Dan.7:4
I am going to paraphrase Dan.7:4, the 1st beast,
Judah was one who confessed Jehovah; he was as a lion who roared aloud as would a lions whelp, he would not remain long. As any pray he will be torn to pieces, devoured; my son, you had been raise up and exalted, but shall be humbled and afflicted, for you have bowed to idols, yet you roar like a lion, but as an old lion, meaning one that has been stripped naked and made bare; so I ask, who will strengthen you?
The following may represent this 1st beast.
From the conception of Manasseh in 670 B.C. to Christs birth 4 B.C., 666 years of Gods Judgment fell on Judea and its people.
Manasseh: The 15th king of Judah, son of Hezekiah. Manasseh conceived in 670 B.C, born 699 B.C. He was 12 years old when he came to the throne in 687 B.C. died 632 B.C.
Manasseh did evil in the sight of the Lord, worshipping the idols of the land of Canaan. Those who were in power when he became king had been doing away with the religious reforms king Hezekiah had made, and Manasseh was too young to stop them. The Jews resented not having their high places for worship so he rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed. . Manasseh went far beyond restoring them. Judah at that time was a vassal of Assyria, and paid tribute to them every year. Manasseh became a fanatical idolater, bringing a whole host of heathen practices into his kingdom. He built altars to Baal, and made a symbol of Asherah. He worshiped and served the host of heaven, the sun, moon and stars, raising altars to them in the courts of the temple, and later moved the Asherah symbol into this building which had been dedicated to the true God of Israel 2 K.21:1-7. He had horses and chariots given to the sun 2 K.23:11.
Much of this idolatry came from Assyria and Babylon where there was widespread worship of the heavens. Gentile practices that had been expressly forbidden were introduced into Judah by Manasseh. He made his son pass through the fire which implies he sacrificed him to Molech, the god of the Ammonites. He practiced soothsaying, and used enchantments or observed omens, he indulged in sorcery, sponsored ghosts and familiar spirits and those in touch with the spirit world 2 K.21:6-11 and 2 Chro.33:6. To these crimes Manasseh added cruelty and shed rivers of innocent blood in Jerusalem. The Lord threatened him by his prophets, 2 Chron.33:11-12. 2 K.21:6. It is said he had Isaiah cut in two. This evil set loose in Judah sealed his fate. Manasseh brought ruin to the land. He was put in irons and led away to Babylon. After a time he repented and was returned to his throne in Jerusalem, than attempted to undo all his evil works. 2 Chro.33:10-13, 15:17 and ver.14.

Solomons Temple destroyed in 606.
