See my tread, "Lion's whelp" on Dan.7:4

I am going to paraphrase Dan.7:4, the 1st beast,

“Judah was one who confessed Jehovah; he was as a lion who roared aloud as would a lion’s whelp, he would not remain long. As any pray he will be torn to pieces, devoured; my son, you had been raise up and exalted, but shall be humbled and afflicted, for you have bowed to idols, yet you roar like a lion, but as an old lion, meaning one that has been stripped naked and made bare; so I ask, who will strengthen you? “

The following may represent this 1st beast.

From the conception of Manasseh in 670 B.C. to Christ’s birth 4 B.C., 666 years of God’s Judgment fell on Judea and its people.

Manasseh: The 15th king of Judah, son of Hezekiah. Manasseh conceived in 670 B.C, born 699 B.C. He was 12 years old when he came to the throne in 687 B.C. died 632 B.C.

Manasseh did evil in the sight of the Lord, worshipping the idols of the land of Canaan. Those who were in power when he became king had been doing away with the religious reforms king Hezekiah had made, and Manasseh was too young to stop them. The Jews resented not having their high places for worship so he rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed. . Manasseh went far beyond restoring them. Judah at that time was a vassal of Assyria, and paid tribute to them every year. Manasseh became a fanatical idolater, bringing a whole host of heathen practices into his kingdom. He built altars to Baal, and made a symbol of Asherah. He worshiped and served the host of heaven, the sun, moon and stars, raising altars to them in the courts of the temple, and later moved the Asherah symbol into this building which had been dedicated to the true God of Israel 2 K.21:1-7. He had horses and chariots given to the sun 2 K.23:11.

Much of this idolatry came from Assyria and Babylon where there was widespread worship of the heavens. Gentile practices that had been expressly forbidden were introduced into Judah by Manasseh. He made his son pass through the fire which implies he sacrificed him to Molech, the god of the Ammonites. He practiced soothsaying, and used enchantments or observed omens, he indulged in sorcery, sponsored ghosts and familiar spirits and those in touch with the spirit world 2 K.21:6-11 and 2 Chro.33:6. To these crimes Manasseh added cruelty and shed rivers of innocent blood in Jerusalem. The Lord threatened him by his prophets, 2 Chron.33:11-12. 2 K.21:6. It is said he had Isaiah cut in two. This evil set loose in Judah sealed his fate. Manasseh brought ruin to the land. He was put in irons and led away to Babylon. After a time he repented and was returned to his throne in Jerusalem, than attempted to undo all his evil works. 2 Chro.33:10-13, 15:17 and ver.14.

666 years passed from the time of Manasseh’s conception 670 B.C. to Christ’s birth, 4 B.C. In this period of 666 years, the following events took place.

Solomon’s Temple destroyed in 606.

Jews/Judah went into captivity in 605 B.C.

Nebuchadnezzar ruled Babylon from 605 to 562 B.C. = 43 years.

366 B.C. conflict for High Priesthood.

Alexander visits Jerusalem 332 B.C.

Death of Simon the Just, 251 B.C.

Antiochus Epiphanes 4th, born 215, died 164 B.C. King of the Hellenistic Syrian kingdom encouraged Greek influences, during the course of which he inadvertently promoted the creation of the independent Jewish state of the Maccabees. He conquered the Jewish stronghold of Jerusalem and attempted to Hellenize the city.

Antiochus 7th captured Jerusalem in 135-134, razing Jerusalem’s walls.

Wars of the Maccabees, 166 B.C.

Between 161 and 160 Jonathan Maccabeus enters into an alliance with Rome, this being the first league between the Jews and Rome.

Jerusalem taken by Pompey, 63 B.C.

Herod repairs Temple 19 B.C.

So from the birth of Jesus 4 B.C. to Manasseh’s conception 670 B.C. 666 years had passed; “For Manasseh had done evil in the sight of the Lord.”

When I took the birth of Jesus, 4 B.C. and subtracted, 666.666 it took us to 670 B.C. the year Manasshe was conceived. He was the king of Judea, the king who had plunged the Jews of Judea into every form of idolatry.

What I forgot to mention is this, and maybe it's only a coincidence, than again maybe not!

The number of man is 6. The days of creation were 6 days. Then number of the beast is 666, so 6 appears to be the number the Lord has used to (maybe) describe the events which had/are/will take place.

Now if we were to take the year Jesus was born, 4 B.C. and go back in time 666.666 years, six time we would come up with the date, --------------- hmmmm, Wait one moment, I forgot to mention a man named James Usher, D.D. born in 1580 A.D.

He is called the father of "modern biblical Chronology," a brilliant scholar, entering college at the age of 13. At the age of 14 he began to make extracts from all the historical books he could find in order to fix, in Latin, an exact Chronicle of the Bible, he than went on to do much more work for the Lord in his lifetime.

But he had estimated the creation, or maybe it's the year Adam was cast from the garden???????? to be, 4004 B.C.

Now let me get back to my original thought, if we were to go back 666.666 years beginning with 4 B.C., the year Jesus was born, six (6) times it would take us back to the year 4004 B.C., exactly what Ushar had stated to be the creation of the world, or the year Adam was cast from the garden, and time began.

Your thoughts,

The 666 candidate of the week is....... river rat his English Gematria is 666. who would have thought that the Antichrist would be on a Christian message Board? I'm surprised that there isn't a video game of Eschatology as it seems to be a very exciting and sensational hobby.
