So sad. Just showed my daughter Aladdin for the first time this month. Just thought I would like to watch Hook on Netflix. Just re read What Dreams May Come.

Then I saw this yesterday. Amazing how much someone can be part of culture that they are all around you and you notice when this happens.

So many prayers for the peace of his soul and for his loved ones.

What a drag it is hearing this news. I am a huge Robin Williams fan. I believe he was a genius at his art.

I have to say though... that I believe it's dangerous to glorify his suicide like much of the media seems to be doing. Saying things like 'He's free now' is disturbing to me.

Matt Walsh wrote a great piece in his blog about this HERE. I agree with Matt wholeheartedly.

May the Lord have mercy on Robin and bring peace to his family.

Does anyone know what his religion was? I heard he was Episcopal but that later in life his heart was hardened and he turned away from God. Please let this not be true! It's already sad enough. I loved him and want him to be in heaven.

Not all are glorifying it. Some are going the other way and used the word "coward." My stomach turned when I heard that. I like the coverage bec I want to understand why..I loved him.

I'm with you, Charlie. I'm with you....

It just seems like one magical person I grew up with after another is falling....the world is a LOT less funny now with Robin gone. Just burns me up that he had to leave us so early. And I just wish someone in his life could've helped him somehow. Depression is so hard to battle....

He was raised Episcopalian and his mother was a devout Christian Science. As far as his personal opinions on religion....just go to youtube and type in "Robin Williams Religion", I really don't know how to answer that.

To lose anyone is hard but when its a suicide its especially hard i lost my step dad to suicide the self blame you have is heartbreaking you think what should i have done to make there life easier , we go on with our life not thinking about what pain people go through i wish i had told my step dad that he was loved
i wish he had Jesus in his life.
i pray for Robin and his family

So very sad. Makes me want to cry. I don't want to believe that he committed suicide. Not something so horrible. I want to believe that he was murdered.

Terrible tragedy either way. Also seems to me an odd way to go also in this day and age...surprised he didn't use drugs (which he had problems with anyway and could probably get quite easily).

Suicide, I believe is far more damageing to the soul. Murder... maybe less damaging... ?

There's some Dr saying he had an opportunity to talk to Robin several times about Jesus and Salvation. In one of those conversations, Robin accepted forgiveness from Jesus apparently. I do not subscribe to the OSAS belief.... but I found this report to be encouraging.

May the Lord have mercy on Robin.

I just read that Zelda Williams (Robin's daughter) had to quit social media because people were sending her awful photoshopped pics of her dad. So please hold the Williams children in your prayers and the people who sent these pictures that the Lord will work in their hearts.
