I pray either in the morning before off to school, when I'm home from school or before I go to bed.

Do you ever sometimes feel when you pray that when you're finished, you realise you forgot something? Also, I tend to watch to see how many minutes I prayed for, I dislike praying for a short amount of time even though it seems like I hit everything that I prayed for.

Do any of you also forget to pray when you eat? Like you put the fork or spoon in your mouth and then just freeze like a deer in headlights?

Do any of you also have a study time for when you read the Bible? I decided to set myself on a mission to reading all the books in the Bible and like how do you know what book and chapter to read when you pray? Do you just go on google and type in something like "faith Bible verses..." or what?

I'm asking this because I don't have a set time when I pray nor when I read the Bible and I'm wondering if that's a bad thing or not. Thank you for your time! God bless! :)

I'd probably pray for anyone at anytime a day. But that's maybe cause prayer is my daily routine and conversation.

Well I would say that a daily "time" or devotional would be a great thing. I know that God inspires me through it. It doesn't have to be a "set" time though when I started out with a daily devotional I took a "set" time cause this way I know I hod myself to doing it daily. So I dedicate time to God each day. and outside of that I dedicate more time to God or I do my best to :)

Since my relationship with God is a relationship and not a check-list, I do not have set times when I pray. I learned to pray as a child at meals, the start of a school day or class period (I went to Christian schools), bedtime, and at church, but as I grew my family encouraged me to pray whenever I felt like it for whatever reason I felt like. As my relationship became less formal with God and more personal I started to simply ask God to "tap me on the shoulder" anytime during any day when He wanted my attention. I guess I still pray at bedtime most nights in order to pray for other people. I pray for any situations that I'm concerned about at any time. I don't pray before meals always, because it started to feel too much like a ritual devoid of meaning for me so I stopped doing it for a while altogether. Now I only pray before meals in public settings with other Christians or with my bf at a special meal. To sum up, I take to heart Paul's advice to "pray without ceasing," but in the sense that I try to be available to God for conversations all the time. God has full permission to interrupt anything I'm doing to talk to me, including sleep. I also try to take full advantage of God's ability to listen and talk to me at any time and so whenever I have a thought I'd like to share with Him I do in my mind, and sometimes out loud. In this way I am always in a posture of prayer in my heart.
