I personally love playing as a woman because I get tired of muscle bound males who are always the heroes. It always felt sexist that woman were left out. Its why Lara Croft is one of my heroes because she broke the mold.

And even though games aren't designed this way I'd like to think being a woman in game not only makes you faster and more flexible (for running, climbing..etc) but you are also harder to hit when being shot since your frame is shorter and your shorter. Like I said though games aren't often built around the two different sexes and how each would do in real life. Still fun to pretend at least.

In Mass Effect I was a red headed woman.

I typically play as female, though I must say that I don't like how in WoW the armor doesn't cover everything. So I always wear a tabard over my armor, though sometimes that's not even enough.

LOTRO has armor that *gasp* actually covers the woman completely.

I know alot of of males (especially in their teen years) play as women in RPGs because it offers same sex relationship (such as in Mass Effect). Which honestly made it awkward for me. I wasn't playing for that but it seems I ended up in a same sex relationship. Probably because even though I was a female in game, my mind still thought like a man about a woman. So sort of my own fault there lol.

I've played MMOs where every aspect of your character is up to you to make and in games people (likely men) get confused as to why I don't really show any skin. In Second Life you have 100% control of yourself. I had nothing revealing really. I had a nice long red dress but that was about it.

Actually here is my character from SL. As you can see you can edit anything and even create your own stuff from scratch! Its an amazing game (well it was at the time). And yes as you can tell I was into cyborg/punk/military/samurai stuff lol.

And just for fun here is the random creature I made from tons of random parts. It was pretty big and usually made people think I was crazy LOL. In case your wondering I took parts from Spawn, Maximum Venom, Zebra, Chocobo and some others I can't recall.

No, I couldn't really care what's its like to be a dude. Girls in video games are just normally overly emotional, overly clingy, and just all around annoying. Especially in roleplaying games where they squeak for every attack and moan about everything. At least guys are somewhat normal XD
