Ugh, my fear of heights is strong enough to make me nauseous looking at those bridge pictures! I try not to look down or sideways when crossing a bridge. Thankfully I don't drive (fear of speed, among other things).
Then there's fear of crowds (and three is a crowd, in my book!), fear of humans in general and kids in particular.
I'm also claustrophobic. I fear fire, fireworks, loud noise, cars, telephones (not as objects, but I do have a pretty strong fear of making phonecalls), computers (I am using one right now but it's new and it's hating me already and the feeling is mutual), I think these are my main phobias. In general I'm a fearful person. I'm not afraid of animals.

My sister has a problem with bridges, especially high bridges. We went over the Mackinac Bridge between Upper and Lower Michigan one year on a family trip (a five-mile stretch), and she spent the whole way across on the floor of the car with her eyes closed.

I have crossed that bridge 100 times or more and I never minded it until this past September - there was a crazy-strong windstorm and you could see it moving as you drove up it. The speed limit was reduced to 25 and trucks and vans needed an escort to cross. I white knuckled it, prayed my guts out while reminding mysel that it was okay, if it couldn't bend it would break, etc. I was surprised nobody had a panic attack and had to turn around 1/4 of the way through - I was pretty close to it.

....and I HATE flying. I'd like to learn to fly myself, but I don't trust trained pilots or commercial aircraft. Yes, I know it's stupid.
