The bible names Satan?

I saw some videos on Youtube (yes, I know, probably not the most reliable of places to learn more about the end times etc) but one video intrigued me.. It's a video about the end times, Obama and the US and Satan and the end-times etc....

There are some interesting bits and pieces in this video... Can't say for sure what parts are to be taken seriously (if, indeed, can any??) but this part caught my eye:

"In Hebrew, lightening literally means Barak o Bamah."
So therefore... "I saw Satan, fall like lightening from heaven," can literally be translated to: "I saw Barak o Bamah fall as Satan, from the sky..."

This part of the video is at 4mins 54 secs, btw.

Also there are some other interesting parts... too many to go through....

I posted a response to this claim not too long ago.

The claim is nonsense, not least of all because the Hebrew language being appealed neither works nor is accurate.

It claims that Obama comes from the Semitic root meaning "high place" (Hebrew: בָּמָ&#1492

; however that doesn't mean "sky" or "heaven(s)". Rather it refers to a high location, such as a mountain or a hill. The New Testament clearly uses the Greek οὐρανός, "sky" or "heaven(s)". In Hebrew it would be shamayim (שמי&#1501

.

Further, that isn't the etymological root of Barack's surname. In fact it's a Luo name meaning "he bent" (o+bama).

Then the claim is furthered by saying that Barack means "lightning". This is the closest the claim comes to making any sense, but it's still terribly erroneous:

The word for "lightning is the Semitic B-R-Q (bet-resh-qaph) (בָּרָ&#1511

; that isn't Barack though. Barack, rather, comes from the Semitic B-R-K (bet-resh-khaph) (בָּרַך&#1456

meaning "bless". Such as in the Hebrew prayers which begin "Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech Ha-Olam..." ("Blessed are You Lord our God, King of the Universe...").

Arabic and Hebrew share many similar words, they are both Semitic languages. In the same way that English and German shares much in common because both are Germanic (e.g. English: God; German: Gott). The Hebrew shalom and the Arabic salaam for example (both are from the Semitic S-L-M).

Furthermore. Jesus wouldn't have been speaking Hebrew properly, but rather Aramaic. Aramaic, like Hebrew and Arabic, is a Semitic language and had been the language of the Jewish people since their exile into Babylonia. Hebrew was primarily retained as the liturgical language of the Temple.

I saw this about a year ago and it's not tosh. Obama is the Antichrist and I have been saying this for 6 years on here. Some of who have been on here as long as I have know this. Interesting today that the announcement is made on the news that he endorses same sex marriages when in 41 states it is outlawed. Also, the first seated President who has ever done this. It brings to mind the scripture in Daniel 7:25 ~ And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (tribulation). Obama is going to be re-elected no matter how much people despise him as President because it's HIS TIME as ordained by God and his Word. We are fixing to step into some of the worst history ever to happen on this earth.

Lightning in Hebrew is "baraq," but I do not believe it refers to Barack Obama. That is like saying the Son of God is the Sun of God AKA a Sun-God. It is a linguistic, syntactical and semantic error. The figure known as antichrist is a categorical hater of Christ and His teachings. So, by that definition, many people in the past, present and future are/will be antichrists:

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:18

The Antichrist, most colloquially referring to Satan in the flesh, is a figure that will come one the scene after severe calamity and tribulation. This tribulation is not to be confused with the Great Tribulation, which is the tribulation to befall believers when The Antichrist steps foot on earth. The tribulation known as birth pangs will precede the Antichrist's coming.

Antichrist will come as a peacemaker, in a time of no hope and extreme obliteration, and he will supernaturally save the day. Crops will grow, clean water will flow, war will end, meteors will stop crashing into earth, pestilence, famine, plagues will all cease by his seemingly god-like hand. Antichrist is a spiritual/supernatural being in a physical body. He will make many "miracles" happen before the sight of men. Not "technological miracles," but seriously miraculous things. This will cause people to worship him as god. But he is far from it. And, knowing he only has a short time to rule, will make quick work of those that do not worship him as the one god. Then, the world will see him for what he is, divide and war once again at the location of Har-Megiddon (= Armegeddon.) Around the same time, Christ comes the second time to separate wheat from tares, and to (for a split split second) fight and defeat the impostor Christ - The Antichrist.

Barack Obama, although he did win the Nobel Peace Prize, and although there may be other creepy things going on with him, he did not come in a time of global misery, obliteration, plague, pestilence, and lack of hope. Sure, joblessness suck, and of course there are starving people with illness all over. There have even been superquakes, volcanoes, extreme weather, wars, rumors of wars, etc. But, Christ said Himself in Matt. 24:8 that these things are the beginning of sorrows. Be careful, because there may be people being set up to be false Antichrists so that the real Antichrist can look like the real Christ by comparison. Many atrocities far worse that we have seen must happen before Antichrist comes.

For example, Antichrist's number is 666: for practical purposes, one can see Antichrist's characteristics of his coming/advent at the 6th seal, 6th trump, and 6th vial.

This is a celestial event - The Antichrist is a celestial/spiritual being that is thrown from Heaven like lightning cast from the sky to the earth. But, since the 6th seal is celestial, it happens before Antichrist comes to earth. We are most likely around the 4th and 5th seal right now.

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

6th Trump - Rev. 9:13-16

Here, we see another characteristic of The Antichrist. An army of 200,000,000 creatures is released to war with man and slay 1/3 of the world population. (This is a characteristic of Antichrist, as it doesn't say men, which is "anthropos" in Greek. The word horsemen in Greek is "hippikon," which means a calvary force. This force is not specific to the world.) The sixth trump immediately precedes the arrival of Antichrist. In Hebrew history, the trumpet is used to notify the imminent arrival of something.

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon (Har-Megiddon in Hebrew)

6th Vial - Rev. 16:12-16

Again, we see the supernatural characteristics of Antichrist (his spiritual form- dragon, his bodily form - beast, and his false prophet.) along with his final attempt to gain domination of the earth, and prepare war with the real Christ. Notice also that the vials occur after Antichrist has arrived on earth, as the vials directly befalls his kingdom only those that have taken the mark of the beast. It will not affect those with the seal of God because He isn't mad at us (them.) It is the analogue of Pharaoh's Kingdom, and the 10 Plagues that befell his kingdom, and the people that did not observe the passover mark of God.

We are a ways away (albeit very close ways) from seeing the real Antichrist, as the fifth seal and first trumpet have not happened yet. Moreover, the beast has not risen yet. Obama, like many potential "Antichrist" politicians may be used as a false antichrist to make Antichrist look like Christ by comparison. Antichrist is a spiritual/supernatural being in a physical body. He will make many "miracles" happen before the sight of men. Not "technological miracles," but seriously miraculous things.

Daniel 11-12 best describes the end of days, including a description of the Vile Person we call Antichrist (beginning in Dan 11:21.)

Today, the English alphabet is the most common 1 used by believers, insofar as English is the current lingua franca of the world. So the AC's name will most likely add up to 666 in the English alphabet.

Why do Americans always have to think with such narcissism? Barrack Obama is a big supporter of separation of church and state, as well as the most liberal president we've had. Just because the guy is making America more secular in the bad way, supports gay marriage, and supports abortion does not make him the Antichrist; it just makes him a liberal politician trying for the most votes possible.

I don't know if the guy is going to turn out to be the antichrist but he is definitely a top contender.

Jesus said devil is the father of lies and liars are his children. Obama is a proven liar.

Jesus/God made it clear what pleases Him and what offends Him. Obama has come out in favor of things that offend God. Namely murder (abortion), homosexuality, loving the earth (radical environmentalism) more than God, and on and on.

Bible says the guy will be narcissistic and consider himself to be God. Obama is on the right track.

Bible says the global government will be given a mouth. Obama is a strong contender to be a future mouth of a global government. People are encouraging him to go to the UN if he loses election. On that same note, if Obama loses the election, he will sign UN treaties that subject the USA to the UN, compromising our sovereignty.

Bible says there will be a global government. Obama is pushing the global government agenda and purposely disarming and economically destroying the USA.

Bible says antichrist will speak against the God of Gods. Ever heard the blasphemous mockery Obama has spoken about Jesus and the Bible?

Bible says he will be in control of Egypt. Obama is propping up the muslim brotherhood in Egypt with American taxpayer money.

Bible says he will not honor the god of his fathers but worship a foreign god of forces. Obama is assassinating people all over the middle east right now. Indeed. I don't see how our modern prophecy pundits have gotten away with slander when it comes to labeling the various Antichrist candidates. It's all a mechanism to insult an individual with opposing ideals from that of the accuser.

Why would Antichrist be here now, when the last of the seals haven't been opened, and none of the trumps blown? Obama (as well as many other figures) is being made to look like an antichrist so that, by comparison, the real antichrist will look like the real Christ. Antichrist will be so convinving that true believers will have to snap themselves out of the trance. So far, many people are "on to Obama," especially Christians. So, I would argue that by that reason he is definitely not antichrist.

Obama's popularity when he ran back in '08 had a lot to do with the intense discontent concerning the Bush administration.

Obama's popularity has waned considerably since then, he still has lots of supporters, but there is not nearly the enthusiasm there was four years ago.

Obama however is not alone among presidents/presidential candidates with whom there has been intense popularity and support among some. Let us only consider the enthusiasm many on the American political right remember and speak of Ronald Reagan.

Let's also recall how many there were that postulated theories concerning Reagan as Antichrist back in the day.

Then also consider how it is standard political fare for one side to demonize the other. Hardline conservatives demonizing the left; hardline liberals demonizing the right. It goes both ways, it always goes both ways.

Trying to name a president as Antichrist simply because they have a political platform that doesn't represent what one's Favored Party represents is beyond hyperbole and over in crazy town.
