Last TV series on DVD that you watched?

watching season 1 of Downton Abbey... I'd watched it on PBS, but at one point DH walked in while I was watching it and from the 5 minutes he watched, he was instantly hooked, so we had to buy the DVD

Certain series are like that. I got my wife to watch the first 5 minutes of Deadwood and she was hooked. I did the same with AMC's Hell on Wheels and the Walking Dead and she's hooked on both. Because of Deadwood, we're both hooked on FX's Justified. You just can't watch the first 5 minutes of the show while Marshall Raylan Givens is still in Miami and not get hooked.

I went to portmerrion where the original was filmed (outside shots anyway) its every bit as bizarre as it appears on the series.

The outside scenes of the original series were filmed in a village called Portmerrion on south wales UK the interiors were studios. The Six for one fan club stage reenactments there every year in April. Its and actual village but you have to pay to go in though you can rent a cottage for the week...but its expensive.

Currently working through 7th season of Star Trek Deep Space Nine...I think this has to be my favorite of the Star Trek series...storyline wise at least. Character wise it's def TNG and Voyager...
