Where evolving is claimed to extend beyond starting with the created kinds, it is a lie. Yes, evolving happened. It happened to created kinds and all within a YEC time frame. The usual connotation and meaning of 'evolution' goes way beyond this.

No proof exists for Granny Bacteria mother of all living.

But ... but ... what about all that deep time the Bible doesn't account for?

I know that some high ranking church mucky-muck came up with a date for creation week, but, ignoring his musings,

What, in the words of the scriptures themselves, indicates a "young" earth?

There is a difference between evolution & mutation, change.

Not according to secular advocates of the term "evolution." they say it's simply "change in DNA over time." we say potato, they say dinner.

Evolution is the change in frequency of alleles over time. This happens through natural selection and mutation together.

And it's nothing to do with 'secular': despite what the fundies think, there's nothing unchristian about evolution.

However, the liars of creationism prove how unchristian they are every time they spread lies about evolution.

What I really find ironic is that all the other fruits of science are accepted as truth and are used to better our lives by the same people who say that evolution is a lie. The same scientific method that brought us modern medicine, air travel, electricity into our homes, and the internet is the same method that says evolution is true. The only reason that people reject evolution, but accept all the other fruits of science, is that this particular finding appears to go against an ancient manuscript written a bronze age people. It's actually kinda fascinating to watch. It's like the "God Blinders" flip on and reason takes a back seat. Only to return when the topic doesn't interfere with the God Belief.

Historically speaking, Christians & Jews have contributed to science, medicine, inventions, technology, & discovery since the dawn of time: we don't realize how indebted we really are to them.

 And God is the fundamental force that powers all technology.

Wine making takes time.
Not if it comes into existence ex nihilo.

In other words, it starts out as wine, and never was anything but wine.

Remember my Raisin Bread challenge?

There's no question that Christians and Jews have contributed to science. I don't even think that's debatable. However, some of them don't apply those same principles of thought if those thoughts lead them to conclusions that contradict their faith.

They used Newton's law of gravity for a long time also. Then Einstein came along with a new law of gravity.

Right now the theory of evolution is based on mutations or imperfect replication. Something Darwin never even heard of. So even if no one has a problem with evolution. People do not agree on the mechanism and science can not agree with itself. They tip their hat and give lip service. But they all disagree on what it is and how it works.
