jesus said several times that he did nothing by his own authority, but the fathers. and didnt say anything of himself, only what the father had told him.
he was diffrent than us because he was jesus and had no sin effecting his life. but he didnt have any power that we do not have in his name.
and he didnt do things becuase he was god, he set aside all his glory, and came in the likeness of sinful flesh. he did everything the way a human would have to doit through the father, his power was through the father, not his own. so he could relate to us, and be a qualified interccessor for us.
i will say more later, i gtg. not that anyone needs to hear what I have to say though.

Did Jesus have any power within himself, or did He have complete faith in what He said and did? For example, when He healed, was that through power within him, or the power of the spoken word and the Holy Spirit at work?

Mark Ch.5:30

30. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him , turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?''

"POWER" (dunamis doo'-nam-is, force (literally or figuratively); specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself):--ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work.

jesus certainly had power within him, but we as christians certainly have power whithin us as well and that does not mean we are walkin in the power of the godhead as god, as some claim jesus did.
he didnt have to be walking in the power of his godhead to do that.
he did not walk in the power of his godhead.

only he had the holyspirit upon him without measure, when we are given measures.
but he got everything he had from the father.
or else he would not have needed to be filled with holyspirit, the power of the father.

in matthew 1.1 jesus is called the CHRIST.
that word is CHRISTOS meaning
ANOINTED
it has no reference to diety, but it refers to the humanity of the Son of God.
jesus was ANOINTED by god, thus had the power of god, but this was not HIS own power, but the fathers. his own power was laid aside and left in heavon. so he could be a fit interccessor for us.

he was as human as we are. he didnt have any mistykle godly power, he was made powerful by the father.
he had to pray to the father, as he did.
he had to obey the father, as he did.
his will and the fathers will were not always the same.
if he did walk in the power of the godhead he would not be able to relate to the suffering of humans in our sin degraded state.
the bible clearly states that he had to be taught by god, filled by god, and made into CHRIST and LORD by the father.

GOD "MADE" HIM BOTH LORD AND CHRIST (acts 2.36)

yes jesus was our LORD, and he was the CHRIST.
but he came into the world in the state of a sinless but also powerless HUMAN BEING, and had to be made into what the father wanted him to be, by the fathers power.
he even had to petition the father.

psalms 2.7-8
7. ...Thou art my Son, this day have i begotten thee.

(the day jesus was born, or begotten, or PROCREATED, the father had to somehow tell him that he was his own son, this shows the limited knowledge of the human jesus)

8. ASK OF ME and i shall give thee...

(The Father told the human Jesus that he had to petition him, even jesus had to pray to the father for what he needed)
there would be no need of this if jesus walked in the power of the godhead.

but i understand that most people dont agree with that, so im sure not everyone will agree with me.

and there are a lot of IF's AND's and BUT's that i didnt bother to go into.

Although this is a viewpoint I do not often hear, it does make sense to me.  There are a lot of IFs and BUTs, I agree with you that Jesus was not "ALL POWERFUL"..."ON EARTH" that is...but it would seem like that since he was "sinless" and therefore "perfect in his manifestation" but that doesn't mean he could just do ANYTHING under his own "power" sure God "GAVE" him power just We are "given" power through the Holy Ghost.  And besides, Doesn't the bible declare that we shall do things greater in the eyes of men than Jesus? *speaking of miracle type things*

You assume there's a difference... there's not. The power in Him was the Holy Spirit. (John 1:32-34) The power in you and me is the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4) God's power in creation was in the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2). God is a spirit (John 4:24) and God is holy (the entire Bible pretty much - Isaiah 6:3)... making God a holy spirit (Holy Spirit). There is no difference.
