An immoral priest should be removed. Any sexual immorality should result in the priest being held accountable to the Church for his actions. Fornication with men (homosexuality) or with women and of course, pedophilia should be grounds for dismissal from the Church and removal from the priesthood
A priest is taking a vow of celibacy because of his dedication to Christ and the Church. What sort of Christian example can he be if he trashes Christ in his personal life through immoral behavior? The Bible is clear on this issue and such men are not to be leaders in the Church, and those who continue in their immoral sexual behavior are to be cast out of the Church as unrepentant sinners to be turned over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that their souls may be saved
It appears from the evidence that there is a cult of immorality in the Catholic Church, which has continued, unchecked for eons. Obviously for such a cult to exist there must be help and acquiescence at the top echelons, which would lead one to suppose that many of the Cardinals and Bishops are themselves guilty of continuous unrepentant sexual immorality. This evidence of a cult is further strengthened as we note the sidestepping and ambiguity and lack of remorse coming out of the current Vatican Conference to address the sexual problems of the American Catholic Church.
