Frustration and envy... hmmm, isn't that our reaction to those
who are evil and yet seem to prosper? We're reminded to not let the
apparent and short-lived successes of evil people derail our faith
or dampen our spirits. Their victories are temporary, their wealth
is like a flower that will wilt, and their lives are like the grass
which withers and is soon gone.

Having a place of permanence in the middle of life's
uncertainties and having the assurance of God's provision are based
on two very clear principles: trusting in the LORD and doing good
to others. When we live by those two commitments, we learn to
depend upon God in fresh new ways that bring us refreshment, hope,
and new joy.

My new body from heaven;
The new body that I am going to have will not be passed down through failing man. It will be given to me from God. It is not going to be subject to pain, fatigue or other things I have experienced in this body. It will be a perfect body direct from God.
Paul calls this present body a tent ( 2 Corinthians 5:4 ). You never think of a tent as a permanent place to live. If you have to live in a tent, it is acceptable for a short time but not not as a regular dwelling. It is so much better to move out of a tent into a real house.
God is planning to redeem us completely. This redemption includes not just a redeemed body but a new body.

I want to live the kind of life God wants me to live.
There is no problem with my heart and mind. My problem is that my body keeps dragging me down. I cannot be all that I want to be, so I groan.
I am waiting for the day of redemption when God lays claim to what is his. He is going to say, " You have been bought with a price - the shed blood of Jesus!"
He is going to release my soul and spirit from my body and immediately incorporate it into that new body which is from heaven.

God's Ideal
We look around us and seek to understand God through his creation. We want to know God's purpose and intention in creating man and placing him on earth.
Yet we cannot discover this by looking around because people do not fulfill God's ideal.
The only place we find what God has intended is through His word were it is written, '' let us make man in our image, after our own likeness.''

What did God intend?
Look at Jesus and you will know. For Jesus said, '' I always do those things that please the Father.''
The Father said of Christ, '' This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.''
As we look at Jesus, we see what God intended man to be. We cannot look at Adam because Adam fell, even though God did not intend man to fall.

We cannot look at ourselves because we have fallen, even though this was not God's intention either. But if we look to Christ, there we find the divine ideal which God intended for his creation.
It is God's purpose for his Holy Spirit to work in your life and by the power of his Spirit to change you.
He will shape your life into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.

Called to Be Peculiar
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
John 17:15-16
Being peculiar. That's not something most of us work to achieve, is it? But, you know, we should.
God has called us to be perculiar-to stand out from the rest of the world as living proof of His power and His love (1 Peter 2:9).
He doesn't, for example, want us to share the ailments of the world. He doesn't want us to share their sickness and peverty and failure. He's never wanted that for His people.
He gave us a physical illustration of that during the time the nation of Israel was held captive in Egypt. Pharaoh had refused to set Israelietes free, so God had allowed a thick darkness to cover the whole land. The darkness was so dreadful thoughtout Egypt that no one moved for three days.
"But," says Exodus 10:23, "all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings."
What a thrilling example of how God wants us to live. We should be glorifying God by the miraculously victorious lives we lead. We should constantly have people telling us, "Ive heard how God healed you," Or "Ive heard how God prospered you and saved your children!"
So don't hold back. Put the Word of God to work in your life and dare to receive the rich blessings that belong to those who believe. Start using the Word to draw boundaries around your life, to paint spiritual warning signs for the devil. Signs that say:
Off Limits! According to God's Word, I don't belong to you anymore. My family doesn't belong to you. My health doesn't belong to you. My money doesn't belong to you. My ministry doesn't belong to you. I belong to a different kingdom. Now, Back off in Jesus' Name!
Does that sound a little peculiar? Good. That's exactly what God has called you to be!

Scripture Reading:
Exodus 10:20-29

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go.

The Plague of Darkness

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness will spread over Egypt—darkness that can be felt." 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. 23 No one could see anyone else or leave his place for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.

24 Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, "Go, worship the LORD. Even your women and children may go with you; only leave your flocks and herds behind."

25 But Moses said, "You must allow us to have sacrifices and burnt offerings to present to the LORD our God. 26 Our livestock too must go with us; not a hoof is to be left behind. We have to use some of them in worshiping the LORD our God, and until we get there we will not know what we are to use to worship the LORD."

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to let them go. 28 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again! The day you see my face you will die."

29 "Just as you say," Moses replied, "I will never appear before you again."

Let the Revelations Begin
This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4

People go to great lengths trying to wring knowledge from God when all they need to do is go to the Bible. God's not holding Himself back from anybody. It's His will for every man and woman to walk in revelation of Him.
"Well now, Brother Copeland," you might say, "God's not going to give all these sinners out here a revelation." Really? Why do you think He sends evangelists to preach to them? Why do you think He sent His Word? To reveal the truth!
So, if you want to know that truth, just open the Book and read it. All of it....not just the parts that are in red. Those aren't the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Exodus. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Book. He is the Word!
In fact, If you'll read the third chapter of Galatians, you'll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus! It was the promises tht brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn't minister by some special power nobody else could have. He based His ministry on the revelations He'd received through faith in the written Word of God.
When devil came to tempt Him, He didn't fight him off with a special legion of angels who'd been assigned to protect Him because He was God's Son. He fought him off with the phrase, "It is written."
God has equipped you to do the same. He's given you His written Word, and He's given you His Holy Spirit to help you understand it. He's morethan ready to give you the knowledge you need. You don't have to wring it out of Him-just open the Book and let the revelations begin.

Scripture Reading:
John 16:7-15

7But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt[a] in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

Act On God's Word
JAMES 1:22 NKJ
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

How easily we fall into the trap of listening to, or even studying, the Bible -- but not acting on its instructions. According to this verse, that opens us up to deception. We think we are spiritual. We think we are safe. But then, when things don't work out we will blame God and question why He let us down.
LUKE 6:46-49 NKJ
46 "But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
47 "Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
48 "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
49 "But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."

Trouble is coming -- it's part of this life. If you act on the Word, trouble will not destoy you and your household. If you neglect acting on the Word -- no matter how much you hear it -- when trouble comes your way, it may be devastating.
Why?
Not because it's God's will, or God doesn't love you. Simply because you refused to act on the instructions which God -- who knows more than you do -- gave you for your protection.
DEUTERONOMY 12:28 NKJ
28 "Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.

God gave us His Word because He loves us and desires to help us. Not because He likes to boss people around and give orders. Acting on God's Word is for our benefit.

SAY THIS: I will act on what God's says to me in His Word.

Your Body Is Your House

2 CORINTHIANS 5:1 NKJ
1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

The "real you" is not your body. Your body is just a house you live in so you can function here on earth.
Just as someone can change houses where they live, you can, and will someday, leave your body and still exist.
We focus too much on our body. The inner part of us is most important. These bodies we live in are not eternal.
It is not wrong to take care of our bodies, any more than it is wrong to take care of the house or apartment where we live. It is a mistake, however, to spend all our time on our body and neglect our spirit and mind.

1 TIMOTHY 4:8 RSV
8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Who a person is on the inside is more important than what their body looks like.
We judge too often on the house (body) that people live in, instead of focusing on the real person living inside that body.

SAY THIS: My body is only a temporary house where I live.

Follow Jesus in the way;
We Christians who have looked upon Jesus as the author of our faith will also look unto Him as our finisher.
If our eyes are truely opened to see Him, then our hearts are open to His love,
then we will follow His commandments.
As Jesus said, " If any man serve me, let him follow me."

O Christians, let us follow Him wherever He goes. Let us follow Him '' In the way ''
In the way laid down in His word, in the way opened by His providence, in the way which His Spirit whispers.
This is the way; as Christians let us walk in it.

Sometimes His way is in the sea and His path is on the great waters, yet His footsteps are not known by all.
The path for many of us lies in the valley of humiliation.
We believers must lay by the cross and the grave, but beyound the grave is the resurrection!
Then the crown of life forever!

Joyful heart
The kind of joy of which we speak is not far from those other giant words like faith, hope, and love. Joy comes when we are living our lives to the fullest, using the gifts with which God has blessed us, loving in the way Jesus loved, and trusting that there is something good and glorious beyond the pale of this world. Jesus says he wants to give us his joy.

It is the kind of joy that does not separate happy days from sad days, successful moments from moments of failure. It is a divine gift that does not leave us during illness, grief, oppression, or persecution. It does not depend on the circumstances of our lives, or even on our momentary feelings. It is that joy that erupts in our hearts because we know that no matter what we belong to Christ who loves us and gave himself for us

JESUS said "FOLLOW ME!
We seem to think that this is such a dreadfully hard thing! It IS, if we only think of the "task" of reading our Bible every day, and spending "so much" time in prayer.
But it is not an impossible task if we keep the real purpose in mind! We are making Jesus know that He is loved!
We are trying to get to know Him, and know Him better and better!
We are keeping HIM in first place!

A promise for all those everywhere: those who turn their hearts
to God and are baptized fully trusting in Jesus as their Lord and
Savior will be filled with God's Spirit and will be forgiven of
their sins because of the mighty name and gracious work of Jesus
Christ. So like the early disciples, let's share this grace so that
the world can know that Jesus is not only Lord; he is also Savior
and King for all who hear God's call and trust in him.

Lord Jesus,
I know you can understand me when I feel weak because you became weak. You became weary and tired. You were exhausted at times and overworked – like me.
Sometimes I just want to sit down and give up and look for easier ways, but I know you don’t want that for me. Help me, Lift my feet to follow your steps. Extend my arms to reach others in love.
Wipe my tears of sorrow so that I can better see the path. Lead me on, Lord. Lead me on. Amen.

It is joy.
Where sin is absent, peace must reign.
Where God is present, happiness must overflow.
Heaven is a boundless ocean, in which each swelling wave is pleasure in the highest. It is a prospect ever widening, in which each scene is rapturous delight.
It is skies, forever brightening, in which each orb is sparkling ecstacy. It must be so, for love is the one pulse in every heart, praise is the endless sound from every lip, hallelujah the one ceaseless echo.

The blessed cannot cease to sing, because fresh views of their blessed state continually arise. It must be so, for they behold the glories of their Lord, not in dim distance, not through the varying medium of faith, but near, and never to depart, but clear, and ever clearer.
Transporting joy! daily to read new glories in the face of Christ, daily to dive into the deep wonders of the love of God.
Do we not long to be there?

Together
I must say this is a difficult problem. There are so many wills and tastes, so great a difference in culture and habit, and that working together is almost impossible. But when we look at the Christian at the time of his surrender to the Lord, it will not seem so difficult.
I believe that every true Christian begins their service of the Lord with this question! " Lord what will you have me to do?"
And this becomes the first, middle, and ending question of the converted persons life. There are no jealousies between members, no complaining one of an other, but each bearing the burden assigned to them.
And then nothing will help to unite so much as a high appreciation of the work to be done.

To me one soul is worth more than all the world. There are millions that perish daily for lack of the Bread of Life.
With God no man has the right to engage in a work in which he cannot ask for His presence and blessing. We may be sure that God will not allow the Son's mission to fail. "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that built it."
1Cor.3:9 For we are God's fellow workers: you are God's field, God's building

The law of Spirit and life is a great liberator! We are set free
from the law of sin and death. Death has no mastery over us because
of Jesus' resurrection. Sin has no claim on us because Jesus on the
Cross paid off our debt to sin. We stand before God as his
righteous children, free at last because of the work of our mighty
Lord Jesus Christ. There is no condemnation in our future, only
glory!

Hi peace wil keep or guard our minds as we trust in Him...It is not so much about pursuing peace; it's more about pursuing trust and faith, and finding peace as the result..I know your burden may feel heavy today..You may feel the weight of stress bearing down on your life, my friend. But the peace of God is a perfect counterweight that can lift the heaviest of hearts..Trust Him today to give you the peace that passes your understanding and transcends your chaos.....

Stick With It
Psalm 119:31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
We live in a world of fads and crazes. Every other day it seems there is something new that everybody is doing. We chase after the latest thing and when we catch it, it is yesterday's news.

Just think about the books we read. For example, there was the "Chicken Soup" series. Self-improvement books just keep coming, and we keep buying. Many of them are full of good information and timely advice. But they all soon find themselves gathering dust on bookshelves while we rush out to purchase the latest book everyone is reading.
I am not decrying the reading of such books. I am simply making this statement: THANK GOD FOR THE BIBLE! It is NEVER outdated.
It is ALWAYS timely. It is as fresh when you are seventy- six as it was when you were fifteen. It is the book of the ages. In it is life. Abundant life. Eternal life.

Pick up that copy of God's Word laying beside you right now. Stick with it. It will never lead you astray. It will never leave you cold. It will never go out of style. In a world of change, God's Word is constant. Count on it.

Back when ice cream was a whole lot cheaper than it is today, a little boy went into a hotel coffee shop and sat down at the table. A waitress came and brought him a glass of water and said, "Can I take your order?" And he said "How much is an ice cream sundae?" and she said, "Fifty cents." And the little boy carefully dug into his pocket and pulled out his money and carefully studied and counted the coins, and then he said "How much is a dish of plain ice cream?" And the waitress, aware that other people were waiting to be seated, shot back at him brusquely "35 cents". And the little boy again looked and carefully studied the coins in his hand and then he said, "I'll have a dish of plain ice cream." And the waitress brought him the ice cream and also brought him his check and then left. And the little boy ate his ice cream and then he went to the cashier and paid his check and departed the coffee shop. And a little bit later the waitress returned to the table and was wiping it down and then swallowed hard at what she saw.
Next to the empty ice cream dish the boy had carefully placed two nickels and five pennies. Her tip
