Oh Later on Rev. Camden (Who is an Non-Denominational Minister) becomes an Atheist for like I think half a season.... he comes back to the Minister....

He was originally going to be a Shrink.... a Psychologist but they wanted to spice it up and made him a minister....

And Not only will Simon sleep with his live in girlfriend, but their will be others, including two in the house when he thinks he's alone with just the girls....

and he will hide and try to run away from his past......

he also sleeps with the girl who got pregnant by another guy(the other guy Martin was 17 when he slept with Sandy).....

All in All this is not a very Christian Show I'd say the last 3 seasons are pure rubbish and the ones before that are just good morality tales but never approach the level of being a True Christian Show.....

As far as one that is.....

It's in it's Second Season now and it's only on a few channels, but if you have NetFlix you can Rent the First Season on there......

It's Called 7th Street Theater.....

http://7thstreettheater.com/

It's Low Budget but it's designed to be, it's about the lives of Five Actors who are Christians who work at a Struggling Theater House owned by a Christian Business Man....

and it deals with all kinds of issues....

it all depends on who you believe Jesus to be and there are thousands of false gospels out there with false depictions of Christ all of which give a vastly different connation of what it means to take Christ as Saviour.
I thought the whole crux of the Gospel was to accept Jesus as your Savior. I doubt Reverend Camden belonged to any of those false flavors considering he was Methodist (or possibly Presbyterian) Last I checked, these denominations fell under the umbrella of Orthodoxy.

lol. No they don't. Under the umbrella of "reformed" churches, perhaps... meaning churches that followed after Luther's "reformation".

The early shows have some sweet sentiments, but obviously I disagree with most of the deeper theology. And it's a pity that their kids, having grown up in such a lovely family, fell so hard. That doesn't always happen, but I suppose for the sake of television it made for instructional storylines or something. I still like watching the early shows. They're pleasant.

yup but not all the viewers will have any understanding of the gospel and since its not clearly presented in the show its pretty tough to label it a Christian show even if the characters are supposed to be Christian. That'd be akin to saying King of The Hill or Party of Five are Christian shows because the characters themselves are supposed to be Christian. The religion of the characters doesn't mean anything, what theology are they actually teaching? thats the crux of the matter.

these shows tend to be very vague about anything Christian, even the song - i'm willing to bet it didn't explain *why* we should take Christ as our Saviour, or that we're all depraved sinners on our way to Hell apart from Christ, or what sin is, or what Christ did to become our Saviour, or Who Christ is, or heck even who God is. All thats very important and basic theology they've gotta start digging into before i'll agree its a Christian show but its stuff they avoid because its too offensive and will drive the viewers away.

Well until the show starts teaching heretical things that oppose Christianity, I will still consider it a Christian show. :p

I think anything that promotes Christianity is a good thing. Even weak/liberal denominations. It's like an opening to something stronger. I can't imagine a major network show like this promoting deep theology. What do you expect?

What I like about Simon was that he was never afraid to do the right thing. He didn't care what others thought.

When was Mary mistreated? She vandalized the school. She wanted to get married to a guy who her parents knew was a creep.

Oh don't worry. Eric Camden will never be MY pastor. Not only do I find him too boring for my tastes, if what you say about the show is true, he should be a New Thought pastor, not a Methodist one. I watch the show because I like the lessons. I don't watch it to bone up on theology. I have the Bible as well as a significant amount of Christian literature and writings for that. Since most of T.V. shows nowadays are gay friendly, feminist supporting, half hour collection of corny one-liners, it's nice to actually have a show that teaches some morality and has respect for the traditional family unit (one man for one woman). If I have a question concerning the Bible, I will NEVER pop in a 7th Heaven DVD to look for the answer. I will go to the Bible or ask somebody on here who is smarter than me. :p

I thought they kind of treated her bad when she wanted to be a flight attendant, and when she didn't want to go to college, and when she drunk like one beer. But i thought she was annoying too, lol.

To be honest, I filter out a lot of the pseudo-theology stuff. Like when the little kids visited the Catholic priest or the other churches (out of ignorance), I just skip through it because it doesn't interest me.

But overall, there is usually a good message about how to lead godly lives. (At least in the earlier seasons).
