No, I'm giving you a time to say why you post these. You're not here to discuss it seems. That's what this board is for. YOu don't reply to people in these posts..you just ramble on. While I agree with some of the things you post, its not really needed for discussion purposes.

Galatians 4:16
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

2 Corinthians 7:2
Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Dear Ed, beloved of God,
ALL in Christ love you and God loves you,
[so who could ask for more?]
so we are all ears for the truth,
perhaps we could ALL just say our 'truths'
and then either ignore everyone else as being wrong
[we have the right to, after all, if that's what we choose]
and/or just keep saying 'well I'm right'....
But this really doesn't make for much progress toward the
truth for everyone
So it is not unreasonable to discuss WHY we believe the things that we say are true...
thus we have discussions and even occasionally come to agreement ;)
we all learn from each other by seeing the points behind the arriving at conclusions....this gives us the chance to pick out errors that we all make in the process of coming to conclusions.

Thus, as a respect for each other we always back up what we say ,
[sometimes only if challenged when we think the point is uncontentious],
back up our view with WHY we say it, it is courteous and loving and helpful to do so.....constructive toward understanding!
If you really don't know why you believe something then just say so, that too will be accepted,[but it is not so interesting]
[i have visions for instance that many here would reject I think, but it would not stop us discussing them on the basis that they are [just] visions].
Thus to say ....my view is such and such
might throw out a challenge to someone who disagrees,
but the love comes into it when you DISCUSS why each of you has that view and maybe even resolve it.
....after all there is ONLY ONE truth and its going to blow us all away to hear it all at once one day!.
...till then lets respect each other and love each other by bravely telling each other how we came to our beliefs
....it's actually quite enjoyable and stimulating
...and we'd be hard pushed not to learn something new here,
I know that I have already and I've only been here a few days.

Why Should Someone Receive Jesus Christ?

God Commands Us to Do So

God is an all-knowing God, and He knows what is best for us all. He has never made an irresponsible decision, nor has He ever given an unjust command. God is always right--ALWAYS! So He is also right in commanding all men to REPENT of their sins. In Luke 13:3, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." In Acts 17:30 we are told that God COMMANDS all men everywhere to REPENT. God's word states that we are all sinners by nature (Rom. 3:23; Psa. 51:5), and that we can only be cleansed from our sins by repenting of them (turning from them) and turning to Jesus Christ for Salvation:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

"Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.

God sent His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for our sins. Jesus paid our sin debt for us. For us, He won the victory over SIN, DEATH, and HELL, and we can CLAIM that victory by RECEIVING Him as our Savior (John 1:12). God has no other Salvation plan. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven; so God COMMANDS us to repent of our sins and receive Christ as Savior. In II Corinthians 6:2, the Bible says that, "....now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." You should receive the Lord Jesus Christ RIGHT NOW, because God COMMANDS you to do so.

I don't really see the point with this either!
If people don't reply to this, it is only going to go down into the back pages then off the forum altogether!

I do think however it would be a good idea for Christian Forums to put a link to a 'Get right with God' page on their site with all how someone becomes a Christian and makes a commitment to Jesus- though it is God's work in their heart if they genuinely believe and make a genuine commitment to Christ.
This is not because I think that people who profess to be Christians on this site aren't, but because there are non -Christians who visit this site and it would be good if this site could contribute to reaping a harvest of souls for God.
There also might be genuine Christians who if they are anything like me, have had serious doubts about their salvation at some point and just want to MAKE SURE they are right with God.

I really can't tell what's going on here, there is nothing wrong with Ed's posting, but some of the replies aren't very loving or constructive or helpful or even discussion,
Come on beloved people get with trying to behave like Christ , get helpful, loving, constructive and most of all lets cut out the personal judgements [we aren't on earth to judge, we just aren't up to it yet - lest you wish to be judged yourselves by the same measure...I doubt it!]....this is for DISCUSSION on the bible, not deciding who you want to put down....if you don't want to listen there are many other threads to follow, but keep the line to supported discussion and leave the judgementalism in the dustbin where it belongs

"A guy makes a post maping out the way to accept Christ and you people shun him?! That's horrible! "

*sigh* like I said I agree with him, but bogging down the thread or forum with tons of posts that say the same thing and don't respond to someone is what a troll and spam are. I agree with what he posts, just not the manner he does it. Just like I wouldn't step into a mosk chain myself to one of the pillars and start preaching. its just wrong.

Hearing the "Good News" of Christ over and over again is music to my ears. Maybe Ed is overwhelmed by the Spirit and has joy in speaking of the great gift that God as bestowed on this sinful world by Grace. I still get goose bumps when ever I stop to think…… God truly loves someone as pitiful as I.

 Thank You Ed!!!

To some of the others....Please release the negative from your souls it has no place in the kingdom. LOVE
