I hurt myself cleaning one of my churches yesterday. This is what happened... Well I had already been there just a little over an hour and I totally spaced out that the ceiling light cover was hanging there. I went to shut the door that leads up to the alter area and it hit that glass light cover just right and broke.

Glass came down on me and a big piece cut my right wrist. It's right on the bone area on the left side. It looks deep enough that I may need stitches but I'm hoping that it'll close on it's own. I wasn't hurt anywhere else thank God. It had taken me about a minute to figure out what happened. All I know is I heard glass break and something hit me.

The guy had opened it to replace the bulb but left to run some errands and didn't think anyone would be in there so he left it hanging like he did. I felt so bad and stupid for doing something like that. I have offered to replace it but the secretary and the guy told me I most certainly wont.

My wrist hurts right now.

ooooo...I'm glad you're okay!

Just keep an 'eye' on your wrist, I wouldn't mess around with that and just get the stitches. I'll say some for fast healing!

The winner is under a contract set by them for a certain amount of time. I heard that Clay Aiken had gotten a contract with them but found a loop hole to get out of it and that really ticked them off. So I'm sure they have made sure the contracts are iron clad now. I know he wasn't the winner but he did get a recording contract with them.

Thank you for the prayers. I'm definately keeping an eye on it. I will go if it doesn't look like it's healing.

I'm having a great time playing in the land of dollies....that must mean something...but as my therapist is gone this week, we may never know, lol

Wow..Cheri....I will be praying for your wrist to heal....While waiting for my reps to become available I went back and read the thread and all about your injury. You are very fortunate that you didn't get any glass in your eyes. Be real careful around your wrist.. That might be a tricky part to heal cause our skin is kind of thin there and the veins are really close.
